HI- yes you do need antivirus i recommend comodo which you can download from HERE or avast from HERE and you will need to add exclusions to the antivirus and you can keep mbam on in real time just add the exclusions and you will be fine you can find what to add to your exclusions list from buttons and BUTTONS you beat me to it

i have uninstall comodo cleaned my system with system mechanic then did a scan and mbam came up clean then installed comodo again then did scan with mbam again and nothing done like 4-5 scans to make sure it was not a one off and still comes back clean

will do it on saturday as im busy friday

scaned in safe mode found nothing then rebooted to normal mode and then did another scan and it found that file

I try to remove the file but when it goes to the bar to remove it.it just crashes mbam and it cant remove it because it cant find it so what shall i do and i know my system is clean as i do not have pop-ups or any browser redirects or any other sign of being infected and if i was i would have throught you would have found something on my dds.scr log. your throughts Ron?

you mite just have to delete that user and use the other one it sounds like that users profile has gone hay wire

thanks Ron and the thing is there are no signs of symptoms no browser redirects or popups just nothing and this is a clean install of W7 its like about a month old could it just be mbam detecting it from when i had vista on me laptop but its just dormant maybe? but i will do what you have said and will report back

Hey 'MT16', i was wondering when you were going to see this I thought you might say about 'hostman' as I think you said it did that before. But I dont want to use it as 'buttons' i think said that hostman on vista/w7 has problems where it does not merge properly or it deletes the hostfile. 'Buttons' is keeping an eye out for me if it gets fixed as then i will probably get hostman then but thanks for the help and the imput's always appreciated

cheers and i was wondering why it came up as this is a clean install of W7 and all of my applications are safe and i dont download anything else.Also can i now delete dds.scr and the bat file to plus the logs?

here you go Ron . Also just updated to database 4641 and when i do a flash scan it does not find come up with it now the scan comes up clean what are your forts on that?

i think that bug was where i ran gmer and it crashed my laptop. I was trying to find that file with gmer but i could not find it and i will do that code now
