Hello, I have been doing virus removal for quite a while and have not come up with this one. I went to a friends dell latitude d505 laptop running windows xp and it had a virus that would not allow me to even exit out of the virus. I did not remember the name of it but it was one that required the user to send in their credit card info to get the serial number to allow it to be removed. I tried to get into the task manager but it would not allow me to get into it. I then rebooted into safe mode and the only thing that came up in safe mode was the virus again, so I could not even get it to allow me to install malwaarbytes or anything. Has anyone had this virus before and could I boot from a cd and be able to install malwarebytes and run it??? Thanks
