  1. Thanks for your help,so i suppose my laptop is pretty clean and virus free now. When you say"any problems with Malwarebytes you should report to them" could you give me a link of who to contact. Thanks again for your help Mrc.The coffee's are on me
  2. I thought so,but was'nt sure.Still no sign of a popup. Next move?
  3. Just before i did the the screenshot i had a look in "edit schedule" and some how check for updates had changed to monthly update instead of hourly,so i changed it back to hourly and ok'ed it. Here's the screenshot , what i mean is if i check these two boxes they uncheck themselves if i reboot or shutdowm.
  4. Hi,i just installed new MBAM prog update, still don't see any popup. Do you know why "check for updates" and "threat scan" boxes become unchecked after reboot or shutdown, Here's the security check log. 5. After clicking link it hangs for about 5 secs then shows server not found.
  6. My settings are the same as your MB.bmp, which i did a screenshot for you on page 1 post 21. I also have"check for updates" and "threat.scan" boxes checked in auto scheduling. Still eagerly awaiting for the popup notification.
  7. Yes it's set to every hour.Just checked anothe log from today, and i can see update after type but not auto update, are these the auto updates? and if they are how come no popup alert saying it's been auto updated. After looking at the logfile below i can see it says ="Scheduler" type="Update" so does this mean the auto update is working? If so,then i wonder why the popup alert telling me does'nt popup. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <logs> <record severity="debug" LoggingEventType="2" datetime="2014-04-04T08:40:40.928878+01:00" source="Protection" type="Protection"
  8. Just checked todays log and after type it says threat scan which i did manually this afternoon.
  9. The thing is how do i test MBAM to know if i'm getting any auto updates? As far as i know there's no evidence in logs and there's no popup telling me it's auto updated, also no evidence of auto threat scan which is set for every 24hrs.

  12. Could be a long long time before i get a reply from the Windows 7 forum let alone a fix for it. I've been doing a bit of googling and there seems to a fair amount of people with the same problem, but sadly no answer to the problem. Is there anything else i can do in the mean time?
  13. Sorry i had to go out for a couple of hours, but i just tried safemode w/networking and it's still the same.I have a red cross on the internet icon on taskbar which says no internet connections. I just started a thread on the Windows 7 forum asking for help with this issue.
  14. One problem with that is,if i go into safemode w/networking it wont connect to the network,i've no idea why but it never has done since i got the laptop 2yrs ago. But i will try again later.
