  1. We pay ~$60/mo. for this crap. Better speeds are not available here... In fact, I daresay they're not available anywhere in my country for a home (non-corporate and non-university) user. I have a server and the upload speed is just awful. Half a Mbit is around 60 KB, 30 of which I reserve for seeding torrents (sharing is caring), so I'm actually left with a s?????????????????????????h???????????????????????????i?????????????????????????t????????????????????t???????????????????????????????y???????????????????????????????????? 30 KB upload.

  3. There isn't really a right or wrong way to use it... The CDs might've also been bad from the start though. I don't really know anymore.
  4. Hello Paul, welcome to Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is not an antivirus. You can have both Norton and MBAM active at the same time, but Norton is...not exactly the best product around, so unless you have a paid license or something, I'd strongly suggest removing it in favour of avast! or Avira. MBAM will work just fine alongside either of those, you might have to setup an exclusion list. These are the files that should be ignored by your antivirus if you encounter any problems. C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\MBAM.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\MBAMGUI.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\MBAMSERVICE.exe C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\MBAM.sys C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\MBAMSWISSARMY.sys C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\RULES.ref
  5. It destroyed several CDs for my dad, with a fully functional drive.
  6. Nero is junk, use another program.
  7. I've added a live "Now Playing" feature to my website, those who know the address can go take a look. Those who don't, well, try to find it... or don't.
  8. Other than reading articles about biological viruses and bacteria on Wikipedia from time to time, not really.
  9. You can update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware manually from a clean computer with it installed. Just update MBAM on the computer with an Internet connection and transfer the following file to the other computer. Windows XP C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref Windows Vista/7 C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref
  10. Well, The Onion's stories are really realistic and believable and Facebook is full of all kinds of people, including less bright ones.
  11. Take care... You're always welcome to come back if you decide to.
  12. Windows XP firewall is useless at best. I wouldn't go without a firewall like Comodo on XP. Not sure how good would it run on an older machine, but it has no reason not to work.
  13. I agree, I love apples only with a lowercase 'a'.
  14. You can always make a Linux LiveCD, install Wine and run Malwarebytes if that's what you really really want.
  15. I have FL Studio 9 but I don't have anything named "stdrt.exe" or "regw2.exe". May I ask, where did you download it from and what version is it exactly? (Mine is 9.1.0)
  16. When I had Windows, I used Foxit Reader. Much lighter than Adobe Reader, with the same functionality. At least that's how it was back then.
