  1. Another note: As mentioned above, the Desktop Gadgets were wiped out after running net_replacement.bat and rebooting, but I successfully updated the Malwarebytes database and ran a scan (using the free trial version). After clicking "Apply Actions" to quarantine some objects that were found, the "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Has Stopped Working" window popped-up and the program closed. I rebooted again, and this time the Desktop Gadgets reappeared. I re-activated my Malewarebytes Premium service and re-ran another Malwarebytes scan which detected four folders which I quarantined with the "Apply Actions" button and once again got "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Has Stopped Working".
  2. Running net_replacement.bat fixed the problem! Note that it wiped out my Win7 desktop Gadgets when I rebooted, but I can add them back. Thanks.
  3. The symptoms are like those in the topic "Malwarebytes stopped working" started by Robar1. There was no resolution posted there, and the details of my problem may be different. The problem started after updating to Premium version 2.0. I am currently trying to use version 2.0.2.1012. Whenever I try to run it, it tries to update and then a window pops up saying, "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Has Stopped Working." I have no other issues with my computer. FRST.txt and mbam-check files are attached. CheckResults8-2-14.txt FRST_02-08-2014_11-37-16.txt
  4. I just installed v2.0.2.1012 Paid Premium to replace v1. I immediately started getting the pop-up window that the program has stopped working whenever it tried to check for updates. I went through the recommended process to do a clean, complete uninstalled, then re-installed it, but I have the same problem. The requested log files are attached.
