This is an old file going back to 2003 and was flagged by MB as Malware. I checked with VirusTotal and it came back clean 100%. wmasvc.zip

I've had this installation in for a long time and suddenly it's flagged as malware. I ran the file scanner at VirusTotal and it did not find any issues. All 69 reported it clean. Reported as "Malware.AI.4264244234". -Software Information- Version: 4.2.0.82 Components Version: 1.0.1045 Update Package Version: 1.0.30057 License: Premium -System Information- OS: Windows 10 (Build 18362.1016) CPU: x64 File System: NTFS User: System File: 1 Malware.AI.4264244234, C:\PROGRAM FILES\BATCHINPAINT\BATCHINPAINT.EXE, No Action By User, 1000000, 0, 1.0.30057, 0CE85E227FEB9D02FE2B340A, dds, 00902831, 91DEC04FF65CA0610AD3FBFFD5BFD704, F7D41608BBDCCB349A0E7DB752BCFB066C1067E2B29F5BD08493BFEB842158AC Physical Sector: 0 (No malicious items detected) WMI: 0 (No malicious items detected) (end)

FireFox and Brave Issue
Executioner replied to Executioner's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
Hi and thanks for the response, but I have not done anything yet. Also, I'm now getting a notification from AdGuard ad blocker for both browsers. -
I'm using Brave browser and I go to this site: http://www.stereomanuals.com/index.htm I have no issues being reported after finding my manual I'm searching for. I then decide to open Firefox and head to the exact same address in in the code above to save the link, and MB says its a phishing site. This is the warning I get: Why would it report an issue with FF and not Brave?

The update fixed it. Thanks. -

Here you go. mbam_log_2010_08_28__19_28_34_.zip -
This is the first time that MB detected these 2 files. They reside in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\GTK\2.0\bin folder: pango-querymodules.exe gspawn-win32-helper.exe I submitted them to the on-line check tool: http://www.virustotal.com/file-scan/report...ba6c-1283016856 and all the AV programs report them as OK (clean). files.zip

I'm still getting this false positive for this same file LangRes_ITA.dll. I have the latest update dated 7-2-2010.

Yes per your question. I have deselected the protection, but MB is still in the system tray. Enable protection and Website Blocking are unchecked. Is this the proper way to have it start automatically scanning? I have created to 2 schedules to run every Saturday. The first is an update at 12:01AM. Then at 12:10AM the full scan starts. What about the option of "Start with Windows"? Once I click on the schedule tab it enables the protection. http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg70/Wathen1955/pic1.jpg

Hi Tom, The issue is I miss the way MB worked as version 1.44, as I did not have it running in the background at all. Once a week, it would auto run from the windows scheduler, update itself, and scan all the files. The new version runs in the background which I don't want to do since I already have NO32 running. I do the same with SuperAntiSpyware.

Thanks for the information, but I rather not go through all those steps, and I am a paid customer. I bought the product because the earlier versions worked perfectly for me. I ran it went I wanted to run it using the Windows scheduler. It would update before the scan started. It would run and check every file then terminate. I really don't like having it run all the time in the background if I already have NOD32 running. Maybe the next version will perform like 1.44 as it seems several people are having issues with 1.45/46.

With version 1.44, I was able to run MB using Windows task scheduler. I ran it this way because I did not want to run MB in the system tray along with NO32 in the background. I prefer to run this type of scan weekly to the schedule I determine without running it in the background. With the latest versions 1.45 and 1.46, is there a way to setup it again using Windows task scheduler?
