  1. Windows 7 / Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 / Malwarebytes (Latest Version MB Friends - I upgraded Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 to 2012 this morning. In the middle of the installation, a notification came up saying something like 'must uninstall incompatible programs in order to continue'. The list box of programs to uninstall was empty so I pressed the continue button. Bottom line: When the installation was done, my Malwarebyes was gone, just an empty folder remained. I've reinstalled MB and all seems well. My next stop will be the Kaspersky forum. Mighty fine software, but . . . . IM
  2. HTH - Thank you for your help. Your solution was the answer :-) - IM
  3. Windows 7 64bit / MB v1.51.1.1800 MB no longer starts with Windows, or at least isn't appearing in the Windows toolbar list of open programs. See atgtachment. Nonetheless, I see it has updated itself in the middle of the night. This is a new phenomenon - Help Appreciated, IM

I'm about to uninstall Firefox, run a cleaner if they have one and start over :-( Do appreciate your help . . . IM
  5. Windows 7 | Firefox 3.6.3 When I started up Firefox this morning I find that I have an unwanted toolbar called "Bigseek Pro". It doesn't show up in addons, or installed programs and I have an idea this is bad business. How do I get rid of it? - Help Appreciated, IM
  6. Ron - Thanks for getting me started. Turns out my previous installation of Malwarebytes was faulty, so I uninstalled, ran the 'cleaner' and reinstalled by the book. Unchecking 'Website Blocking' works perfectly now. Thank you for your help, IM :-)

How do I set Malwarebytes to accept Newsbin activity?
  8. Hope this makes sense, I'm bushed . . . Thank you both for your help, and I apologize for posting this in the wrong forum element. I've been using the free version of Malwarebytes for eons, but just now purchased it and registered. Then I ran it again and quarantined the offenders, rebooted, ran the deep scan which came up clean, so I'm probably clear. Now I'll go do a lot of reading :-) - IM
