  1. Thanks for the info ! After receiving your post we found a user guide at https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038984693-Malwarebytes-for-Windows-guide-v4. It seems helpful and describes the 'Security' tab options (as you described) to turn off/on auto database update. Also it indicates at the 'General' tab and 'Application updates', the 'Check for updates' button will check for version and database updates. And at the 'Security' tab, it indicates the 'Automatically check' (if left on) for database updates timing can be set for minutes, hours or days. We tried that and updates did limit to our test setting of 3hrs. Also, at the 'About' tab and 'Version Information' there is: 1 - 'Malwarebytes version', 2 - 'Update package version', 3 - 'Component package version'. And under that list is another 'Check for updates' button for version and database updates. Which one of those 3 is the 'database version' ? Btw, any idea if a pdf version of that user guide is available ? And Thanks again for your help !
  2. exile360 Thank you for the clarification. Under 'Application updates' we have 'Automatically download and install updates' OFF; and 'Notify me when a new version becomes available' ON. Am assuming that means we are able to choose when we download and install 'version' updates ? But am not able to find a place where disabling 'definition/signature updates' is possible. Where should we look ? If we disabled Mbam definitions auto updates we would probably update daily. Thanks again.
  3. Thanks much for the info ! We used the update button suggested and the installation started; during which there were several popups along the way asking about 'install now'. We clicked on them and it appears version was installed successfully. The 'Settings' menu indicates notification of 'version updates' when available, which we assume we are then able to decide when to install. Is there a way to get notification of 'threat intelligence updates' for choose when to install ? We are just a bit leery of auto anything on the internet these days. For example we are still trying to find a program to control W10 updates like we were able to do with W7 in order help prevent updates that cause problems if updated too soon or at all. Thanks again for your help.
  4. When we Open Malwarebytes we are getting a message: "Support for this version of Malwarebytes ends on May 4, 2020. Update to the latest version for free." W10 Control Panel indicates our current version of Malwarebytes Premium is Where do we find a description for the 'latest version' ? And will the usage of the latest 'premium' version be free per our current 'never expires' subscription ? Please advise. Thank you
  5. Thanks for the info! Did the transfer and all seemed to go well. When tried (at 'my.malwarebytes.com/en/settings') to change 'Settings' (primary email and recovery email, but not 'Password'), got message in 'red box' "Something went wrong, please try again later.". Thoughts ? Thanks again.
