Hello Michelle K.:
One license is valid for one and only one system. It is lifetime for Home Use including all Database updates and Software version updates. By the way you'd still need an AV as MBAM by no means is a substitute for an AV rather meant to run alongside
Kindly give us detail about you OS including 32/64-bit, someone will help you about exclusions for MBAM in your installed AV. In the meantime you may want to read How To Use The New Scheduler (if using registered version)
Should you have any other question(s) please post back using button

Hello Mel_3:
Your Database version is way behind including MBAM version (more than a year). I'd suggest to start from scratch. Please follow these steps in the same sequence:
If you have registered version then have the ID/KEY from the system handy, You should also have an email from Cleverbridge with your ID/KEY purchase information
I am assuming that you have Windows XP
- Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware using Add/Remove programs from the Control Panel
- Restart your computer (very important)
- Download and run mbam-clean.exe
- Restart your computer (very important)
- Download a fresh copy from here
- Disable AV temporarily. Then install MBAM from the newly downloaded copy after completion it will automatically open update window, please allow (current 5066)
- Register it with the ID/KEY (in case of registered version)
- Enable AV ensuring all recommended exclusions are still in place

Steve:
It has nothing to do with that , though already achieved, as mention above my very own information is obsolete
-
Hello Buttons:
Just my zero cents
-
Steve:
The above mentioned information is obsolete, this is current "Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware has successfully removed 4866 different vendors and 4,533,409,415 total objects worldwide" that will be outdated soon, unless the topic title could get dynamic update

Hello GregGol:
MBAM by no means is a substitute for an AV rather it works alongside. Many forum members are using free version of AV namely (listed in alphabetical order)
- avast
- Avira
- MSE
However, you would need to add following exclusions to avoid conflict(s) if any due to real-time protection of MBAM listed below:
- C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe
- C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe
- C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe
- C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\zlib.dll
- C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.dll
- C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamext.dll
- C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref
- C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys
- C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys
As a paying customer you did the right thing contacting support, however, you may also follow second last paragraph of my previous post if you wish

Hello Fluffy:
Please read carefully, this response is to the best of my knowledge:
- If even hypothetically speaking that many infections are detected then the best action would be to seek experts help, like in normal life one consults a specialist
This is basically the job of your installed antivirus
MBAM is designed to work effectively in normal mode, as not all the drivers are loaded in safe mode
At times MBAM alone will not be able to completely eradicate these nastiest leaving behind remnants that require special tools and expert's knowledge. Please read and follow the instructions in I'm infected - What do I do now? An Expert will assist you in removal process - This could be best answered by the helping expert depending on the type of infection, as sometimes removal is not associated with complete eradication and a format and reinstall is recommended
- That's correct, but again one must have necessary expertise to ensure system is clean
- At occasions experts may ask a scan in safe mode because they have other logs
- It would be better not to use any specialized tool at own your as this may lead your system non-bootable

Hello steve6884:
I'd suggest you to please continue with support instead of seeking help on forum since they may have already enough information to diagnose and rectify problem, unless an Admin/Mod comes for help

Hi mona7865:
Please attempt these in sequence:
- Update AV and MBAM and run scans one after another, to eliminate symptoms are not due to infection
- Uninstall any new application that is installed after your repair last time
- Run a Check Disk scan, this will also check Windows File System and Integrity
- Update AV and MBAM and run scans one after another, to eliminate symptoms are not due to infection

Hello jess2010:

Hello SandraT:
Are you still getting "MBAM_ERROR_UPDATING (12007, 0, WinHttpSendRequest)" even when directly connected with modem via Ethernet cable? Apparently this seems to be router problem, please do the following:
- Reset router to factory default
- Change Admin login password (to avoid further hijack)
- Change the default IP (make it more secure)
- Change wireless encryption key (in case wireless is configured)
You should be all set. Please post back using button
- Reset router to factory default
