  1. I'm currently running "Windows XP Mode" (a virtual version) within Windows 7 Pro. If I install MBAM in Windows 7, is virtual XP protected, and will I get the usual warnings and pop-ups while in XP mode? Thanks!
  2. 1.50 has been released, and this bug is still there. C'mon, guys. Any near-future plans for a fix?
  3. Isn't this one of the problems that was solved by delaying the startup of MBAM? (I was under the impression that a "startup delay" option would be incorporated in v1.46, but either I misunderstood, I'm missing it or it never made it!)
  4. Possibly where the server (servers?) is located?
  5. With all the reports about startup-program conflicts, have y'all considered incorporating this into MBAM as an option?
  6. Posted on a newsgroup, earlier this morning: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc512587.aspx
  7. One of the things I found with Startup Delayer, and similar programs, is that it intercepts Windows' Startup. I'm also not a huge fan of installing a program, when I can accomplish the same thing by making a few additions to the the program-loading line.
  8. Again, have a look at http://www.cottonwoodsw.com/dlyrsumm.html.
  9. An old program, but it works great for delaying individual program startup times: http://www.cottonwoodsw.com/dlyrsumm.html
  10. Y'all not only have a great product, but support to match!
  11. Sorry, I guess I wasn't too clear... I've got Comodo Backup installed. What really threw me was not being able to boot into Safe Mode, just another BSOD!
  12. "Enable Antivirus and antispyware protection," "Enable Anti-Stealth technology" and "Enable Self-defense" are all checked.
  13. Sorry for arriving a bit late on this one... I'm currently running MBAM (v1.45, latest definitions) and NOD32 Antivirus (4.2.400, latest definitions, no file exclusions set), with no apparent conflicts. Sounds like you're having something other than a direct MBAM-NOD32 conflict.
  14. Thanks to all, for the suggestions! As an engineer (science, not train) from way back, I learned to make corrections to a problem, one variable at a time. - Disabling the bdisk and CBUFs drivers resulted in the dreaded BSOD. Fortunately, I always create System Restore Points, so I was able to boot into XP's "Last Known Good Configuration." Whew! - Disabling PDBoot.exe, while not causing a BSOD, did nothing. It was a good thought, anyway! - Disabling the recommended programs, one by one, resulted in no change until I got to PSTF (PS Tray Factory, a handy little utility that sorts and organizes System Tray icons). While the subsequent reboot resulted in MBAM working as it should, PSTF returned to my Startup group. (I had not, at this point, disabled the PSTF "Run at the Windows startup" option.) Another reboot, again with PSTF loading at startup, and the MBAM problem was back. For whatever reason, there's a problem with MBAM and PSTF both loading at system startup, at essentially the same time. If I load EITHER program manually, after loading the other at startup, things work. My workaround: One of the programs that I load at startup is a program called "Macro Express." All I did was disable the PSTF "Run at the Windows startup" option and create a macro, for PSTF, that loaded along with Macro Express, which loaded later that MBAM. Again, THANKS TO ALL!
