I have tried to uninstall malwarebytes as it won't open. The uninstall just hangs. I tried to install malwarebytes and it just hangs. I ran Anti-root kit and that didn't show any issues.

    Suggestions please?

    Thanks

In 2001, Bill Miller BBQ sold 4.5 million pounds of brisket, enough for 4 & 1/2 lbs. for every person living within San Antonio city limits at the time. They also sold 7 million pounds of chicken, 2 million links of sausage, 200,000 slabs of pork ribs, and 9 million pounds of potatoes. They sold over 453,600 jalapeños. They used 1.5 million pounds of tomato paste for barbecue sauce. That year they also used 600,000 tea bags to brew 3 million gallons (11.3 million liters) of tea, enough for 10 million large iced teas. This was sweetened by 2 million pounds of sugar. They sold over 100,000 Texas Tea Buckets and "quart-size" insulated drinking mugs.

They have been here longer than I have been alive.

Sorry to the readers if I made you hungry.

Yes, understandable I suppose - just mean that if there is content on the main site one would never see it. At least I don't see it. Only the favor site comes up. So, in that case I'd just bookmark the favordelivery.com site and ignore the .online site

This is the main site that has the link to "order online". I actually had a poorboy from there for dinner. Did not order online, Had son grab it on the way home from work.

I had blue screen and crashing every time I installed MB on windows10, (years ago) and thats why I stopped to use MB. Im going to install it again today after all those years but Im fearfull the problem is still there. I had no other antivirus installed those days.

If you have issues please come back and we are happy to assist.

If I let Malwarebytes remove the files, I risk losing browsing history. This has happened in the past before, which is why I wasn't removing them. I was reporting this here because it's a false positive. There is no actual threat; Malwarebytes is mistaken. Users shouldn't lose parts (or all) of their browsing history every time Malwarebytes misidentifies a string from a web search as a threat.

Very well. Staff will look into a false positive.

The first link you sent is regarding Chrome add-on malware being redownloaded due to Chrome Sync; this isn't the case for me. I never actually had Teoma software installed; I merely searched for it, and Malwarebytes sees 'Teoma' as a string somewhere in the files Chrome keeps for tracking browser history, and thinks it's actually Teoma.

    Let MB remove them.

I would let MB remove them and if they return follow the following instructions.

Please try following the instructions in this topic to see if it helps.  If the issue still persists after that then please read and follow the instructions in this topic and then create a new topic in our malware removal area by clicking here and one of our malware removal specialists will assist you in checking and clearing the system of any remaining threats.

Please let us know how it goes.

How is it possible that the current version of Malwarebytes is so slow? I do not get it

Was this a Custom or a regular threat scan?

I practically could not use my PC to work

In general, You should not try to do ANYTHING else on the computer during a manually started scan because a manual scan by default will use the full CPU to finish a scan as fast as possible.

    All that being said.

I've been having the same problem. Both Chrome and MWB were up to date and AdwCleaner threw up nothing. I used another browser - Maxthon - and it gave the same "resolving host issues". I uninstalled Malwarebytes - no more resolving host. I'd like to install it again but not game enough because I was so over pages taking forever to load/not loading/crashing.

I've recently bought Malwarebytes premium 4.0.4. It found 19 threats, I put them into quarantine and then deleted them. But the next day and the day after, it found the same 17 viruses. They keep popping up after I delete them. What should I do?

I have had this issue over many years now and even when I use your cleaners and follow the procedures, this malware type keeps reappearing.

You posted in the wrong section. But...  can you post a detection log showing the detection's. I have a feeling I know what the issue is.

It has been moved in case my other instructions do not fix the issue.

Thanks! But how/why did that page appear in my browser?

It is a malvertisment usually generated by a "rouge" advertisement on a web page. They can happen anywhere and everywhere where AD's are generated.
