  1. I'd like a management console, too. Understand its in Beta, and perhaps willing to be a beta tester.

    Also, really need a command line switch to enable the protection feature. It seems odd that so many "management" features are implemented via the command-line (scheduled updates and scans), but not this.

    I am disappointed. After receiving a quote I asked if they had a demo or I could buy 1 license to test. NO ANSWER to 4 emails. I love the desktop version of Malwarebytes but dealing with the corporate version people is an unacceptable PITA!

  2. It would be nice if it could do a invisable background scan after updates.

    Greetings :)

    To do this, open Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and click on the Protection tab then click on the Scheduler button. Click on your scheduled update task once to highlight it and then click the Delete button. Now, create a new Update task and make sure that Run flash scan after successful update is NOT checked and click Add.

    Please let me know if you require anything further.

    Thanks :)

  3. Welcome to the dark side...just kidding. I LOVE this thing too. I have used the free version to clean countless computers. I put it on EVERY computer we sell now and I put it on every computer we managed. No issues at all.

    Life is good!!!

    Greetings.

    I have been in IT for about 20 years. I seriously know what I am doing.

    Typically - I am the guy that friends and family call on to save their severely screwed up machines. Dont even get me started.... no virus protection... downloading 'free' games and other crap... and then (of course) they get absolutely killed by malware. Some of them are so bad I just know I am in for hours of work since (again...of course) they have not backed anything up.

    I usually go through the typical process... maybe boot from a thumbdrive if I can and fix a few things. Restore the registry tools.. take a peek. Kill some processcesses, disable restore mode, reset TCPIP settings, clean up autostart processes & services..., reboot, etc etc. Then comes the standard tools... CCCleaner, SpyBot S&D, CA online scanner, some of Symantec cleaner utilities.... Trend Houscall Cleaner, ComboFix is very good if needed.... Sometimes a rootkit can be tough, but I can get through it.

    today... I was having trouble with a fake AV infection. It was pretty pervasive and I could see that all of my usual routines left this machine... though functional... in a state of threatened re-infection because of leftover remnants. Highly annoying.

    So - I tripped on malwarebytes. File Assassin? Awesome. The Anti Malware scanner? Spectacular. I am stunned that this tool picked up another 30+ or so vectors that ALL my other commonly used tools totally whiffed on. This interface is nice, the database appears very comprehensive, and the registry oriented scan is top notch. I really dont know how I have missed out on this fine little utility.

    Normally I would use the free version, say thank you and move on. However - this is a quality product, obviously took some real effort to create - and it saved me a bunch of wasted time this morning - so I went directly to your products page and gladly gave up my $25 bucks for a job well done.

    Thank you.

  4. Is there a way to add some kind of management console that you can install on a server, to manage all the clients in the network?

    So that you would have the following benefits:

    * Remotely start a scan

    * Remotely schedule a scan

    * Prohibit the user from making changes to (some) settings

    * Install the program remotely to a client PC

    * See if all clients have the same database, and which of them needs to upgrade

    * Let the clients update their database via the internal server, so that when you have a lot of clients, they all don't have to get the updates from the internet, but from the internal server(s)

    * change settings to the clients.

    * see when a client has found something or blocked a site.

    * ...

    Kind regards

    I would love to see a console that...

    1. Would run on Server 2003

    2. Could push the install (pay versikon)to workstations

    3. Could set all the "pay" parameters from the console.

    4. Would get reports from the worstaions and email a daily report.

    I would pay for a program like that.
