  1. Thanks for responding back. Looking forward for the new technology.
  2. I was infected by a virus today and there was no way to install MBAM. the XP system didn't had admin rights for my account, and so the chameleon folder failed to install MBAM. At this point I felt a bad need to have a portable version, which should have bypassed any installation, etc and helped cleaning the infection. Somehow I was able to find one online, but the question still remains good, if there would an Official Portable MBAM ever? Thanks, Grr
  3. I'm thankful to God for not again having me windup & travel to another place for job. I could continue working at my current place.....a Big Relief for me...
  4. Hi Haider, I just saw ur reply now. There were 2 log files of protection-log. 1 of 200Mb+ and another of 3Gb+ size As seen from the images below, i do not have any scheduling, nor any auto updates. Thanks, Grr
  5. Thanks Arthur. I would have even uploaded the files if asked earlier. However after following the procedure from the post#3 from noknojon, the log files have been deleted. Please let me know how I could help so that MBAM team could look into this issue. Thanks, Grr
  6. I tried opening the smaller file of 235mb but no luck. Winrar was unable to zip it either, so I just kept it there. I do not visit many new pages every day, so a change of lots of IP blocking could be rules out. Moreover I had unchecked website monitoring option.
  7. @Haider - I agree. May be MBAM was scanning other aplication whivh lead to some crash. Just my thought. @noknojon - I followed ur instructions and did a fresh install. Almost 20 hours now, and no problem. I only did a flash scan.
  8. thanks. i scan only once in a week. so no chance of scanning for these logs. Could be a software bug/crash.
  9. Thanks noknojon. I would do the steps in evening my time. Any reason what might have happened which caused the logs to increase to an enormous size?
  10. To add: my OS is windows XP. sorry didn't find the edit button
  11. The protection log file for the MBAM in my system has exceeded 3Gb. Pls see screenshot below: I also saw mbamgui loading without my intervention. With no hope left, i had to exit MBAM from system try and end task the process. Also this is not the first time protection log have exceeded the size to this extent. Hope for some help/explanation. Using v1.46 Had no abnormal activity on my system. Having Avast Antivirus Pro installed. Thanks, Grr
  12. Thanks FinnishSaint. still they r too closely placed yes, there is, but not in GUI. Many a times as u might have faced taskbar may not be accessible. not with MBAM...
  13. @Spec-V - Thanks. I would contact support @mountaintree16 - I meant the application registered email, not for the forum. Thanks to both of you for replying.
  14. Thanks for replying Why is 1 confusing? It's just how long the scan has been running and which drives are included. --yes, but it is not clear. pipes [|] are something from Unix...and not users would understand 2. If there would be a feature that would count the estimated time it'd cause too much CPU usage to be worth it. --may be, i'm not sure 3. Yes, after updating to the next version, Mbam will only download the latest changes, not the whole database. --I'm excited to know this. Thanks 8. Do you mean that Mbam should scan itself? --no. Here Mb means Megabytes. So what I suggested is that MBAM should also show objects scanned + total size scanned.
  15. Hi, I'm using using Pro V1.44 and noticed following: 1. From the taskbar, if 1st "Enable Protection" & "IP Protection" r both enabled, then 2nd if then both disabled, then 3rd if I try to enable just "IP Protection", many times it doesn't gets enabled. 2. Sometimes the CPU usage shoots up to 50%, I don't understand why? See below: 3. For every update, mbam.exe takes up to 50% CPU. See below: Now some suggestions: 1. The | in the scan (see below) r quite confusing & should be removed. 2. The scan shows "Time Elapsed", but i hope we should also have "Time Remaining", however MBAM could show this new parameter based on results from last 4 scans. 3. updates usually are of the size 4Mb & more, this could be reduced. 4. Once Protection is disabled from taskbar, there is no option in the GUI TAB-Protection to start it. 5. In the PRO version, with right-click ontaskbar icon, there should be a help option available-for easy&fast access. 6. In the GUI TAB-Protection, there is no option to stop protection. It is a must. Currently only stop protection is through the icon in Taskbar. 7. In the taskbar MBAM icon on right-click there is no About option. So in case I have to check what version/definitions I have (i always keep auto updates disabled) i need to open GUI. I don't c a reason of not having this option, as it is very andy & wouldn't eat any resources. 8. In the scan results I would prefer to see Mb scanned, apart from listing Objects scanned. The reason is, for different Full scans I see there is a considerable time difference. I hope to hear from you guys soon...
