  2. I am computer tech and a MBAM reseller partner. I have sold over 500 MBAM sice April. I have previously been installing AVG Free 9 and selling each customer MBAM Now that AVG 2011 is out and crashing on 64 bit win7, I need a new solution. I heard that Avast! is compatible with MBAM protection module. Does it need MBAM process exceptions? This is what I have been using: ------------------ Directory Excludes ------------------ For Windows XP: C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes For Windows Vista and Windows 7 32 bit: C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes For 64 bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7: C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes ------------------ File Excludes ------------------ * Click on Add List then copy and paste the text inside the CODE box exactly as written into the AVG window. Select the entries appropriate to your version of Windows: For Windows XP: C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\zlib.dll C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.dll C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamext.dll C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys For Windows Vista and Windows 7 32 bit: C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\zlib.dll C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.dll C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamext.dll C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys For 64 bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7: C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\zlib.dll C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.dll C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamext.dll C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys C:\Windows\SysWoW64\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys Thanks for any help. Can any avast! users comment on the above and if I will like avast better than AVG 9?
  3. here are more details... This is my personal computer only 3 weeks new. Win7 Pro 64bit, 6G ram, Intel i7 950, 128G SSD drive. Had AVG free 9.0.856 and MBAM 1.46 paid version with exceptions in AVG so MBAM was working good. Installed avg_free_x64_all_2011_1120a3152.exe --------------------- Why does the 64 bit version install to Program Files (x86)?? Had to reboot. no avg icon in tray no uninstall avg icon in "uninstall programs" open avg icon on desktop and get error "key is not activated" (probably just did that because the program was not loading correctly) Try to reinstall AVG 2011 again to see if it can repair itself: ---------------- Product: AVG 2011 -- Error 1921. Service 'AVG WatchDog' (avgwd) could not be stopped. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to stop system services. I restored the whole system drive C with last nights Acronis backup because I do not like tht messed up install that could not be uninstalled. Back to AVG 9 indefinitely, or try Avast? I am trying Avast on a test system, is Avast compatible with MBAM realtime?
  4. I am an AVG and MBAM user, I am also a full time computer technician, can I help test something? AVG Free 2011 locked up my computer with MBAM realtime, I had to do an Acronis restore. My AVG 2011 install failure: http://forums.avg.com/us-en/avg-free-forum...241#post_110241 I also posted this on the AVG form AVG 2011 Resident Shield - File Exclude - "Add List" Feature was removed http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-free-forum...w&id=110289
  5. Thanks for the fine program. I am a reseller partner and sell many copies per week. I would like to request the "Run Flash Scan after successful update" setting to have the ability to "Perform flash scan silently from the system account". I find it annoying to have the flash scan pop up every hour. I already have the "Perform scheduled scan silently from the system account" option checked for my scheduled scans, so I can tell you have made accommodation for this before. It would complement this setting well to have it also available for the flash scan after update. I hope you find this suggestion useful.
  6. It would be nice if Reseller Partners were able to purchase copies from the malwarebytes store. I am already Reseller Partner with a Computer Repair Shop selling many MBAM copies every day. I just want a box sample on hand to show customers while I explain how great it is. Even an empty box or two is all I need for "Promotional Materials" to help make the sale. Is this planned? Thanks in advance for the help.
  7. Do you have a information FAQ like page for people to find out why their site is blocked? I sometimes find sites that are blocked while providing help to my clients. I am a WordPress plugin author and while providing support I sometimes find the clients' site is blocked. They probably do not know and I would like to tell them... so I was hoping you have a page like "Why is my site blocked by malwarebytes"? Then I would send them a link to it. If you do not have a page for this, I would like to suggest it. thanks
  8. I was told sales would call me. Several days later and no calls. This is frustrating. What is the phone number so I can call Sales?
  9. I signed up for a corporate reseller partner at store.malwarebytes.org a week ago and have not received any correspondence at all. I have the opportunity to sell many copies of MBAM per day in my computer repair business while performing virus removal. So until I hear from you, you are missing revenue every day. Thanks for any help. Mike Challis Mike's Computer Repair LLC http://www.mikerepairscomputers.com/
