  1. When I select the file - as in Windows - it just wants to open the file. EDIT: I see - select "folder". Guess I didn't see that when attempting to enter the exclusions.
  2. All working fine until a day ago. Avira had an issue with registry being "attacked" (my word) - since then I find the orange alert about disabled protection when I boot up. I think I will uninstall it and put Avast on. Also, keep in mind that I could not exclude the Avira and Windows folders as mentioned a couple of posts back. Perhaps those exclusions would make it all work but files just want to open when I click on them to copy/paste into MW3 exclusion area. Thanks.
  3. So far - so good. Did all of suggested cures and have rebooted a couple of times. All comes up fine but I'll let you know. Thanks for your help.
  4. A couple of things: Tried to d.l. the application update but the link said - this file type may not be supported.?? Also, entered all the MWB exclusions but when I tried the Avira and the Windows exclusions, the files just wanted to open in both cases. I tried right clicking but that didn't work. Don't know what to do now. Thanks.
  5. New logs as admin. Also compatibility mode - nothing checked as in your pict. Thanks again. mb-check-results.zip
  6. Here are logs. Thanks. mb-check-results.zip
  7. Don't know how else to title this post - I am running the latest version of MW3 on win 7 and have the constant recurring problem of protection not being enabled. So I manually enable. Then suddenly last week, protection cured itself somehow. For a week it loaded on start up and all fine and dandy. A couple of days ago, Avira AV advised me to run a full system scan as it has noted registry intrusion as I was on the net. So I did just that (with no infection to registry in scan results) and now the protections are disabled on start up again and I have to manually start them. Do you suppose the Avira program is conflicting with MW3? I am thinking of uninstalling it as I have always wondered if it didn't work with Malwarebytes. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
  8. Hmm. uBlock -- is that something within MWB or another type of software. They are being blocked but the blocking message just keeps coming up -- like 20 or 25 times at one sitting and I have to shut down the pc to stop them. Thank you.
  9. Yuk. I used Opera this morning and same thing happened. Also, the site I went to is Turtleboysports.com. Not Drudge. Thanks for info. Is there anyway to stop this or am I out of luck for that site.?
  10. Thanks. I will post again if I get anymore of these. Fortunately, MWB is blocking any malicious stuff they may do. What do they do if not blocked?
  11. Hi - I am using Chrome. Various sites - One is called Drudge report. As I said, I go to these site probably daily and don't get these alerts from MWB. Thanks. Can I erase these alerts from my reports?
  12. I keep getting malicious/blocked site msgs from MWB for these things. I don't know what they are all about but they keep happening. Today about 20 of them showed up even after I closed the browser. I don't want to exclude them but would like to take them off the blocked reports. Is that ok to do? I don't understand as I go to the same sites all the time (every day) and nothing shows up as malicious - don't know what to make of this. Thanks.
  13. Hi - I did that a few days ago - delete - and it just shows up anyway. Also, what about multi-tasking while it is running. Does it affect scan -- as in - slows it down a lot. Thanks again.
  14. The root kit issue seems to be solved. The scan issue however persists. It runs a 22 minute scan every morning and I don't want that. I looked under advanced options for the scan schedule and that box was already unchecked. On the other hand, if it's a pain to get rid of the scan, can I perform other tasks while it's scanning? i.e., online?
  15. I've gone to the scan schedule and removed it and replaced it with weekly threat and daily hyper. Still comes up with daily "normal" which I guess is threat. Anyway, will go to advanced as you recommend. Funny - I do have Avira on pc but I have MB3 as an exclusion. Maybe that's just for the Avira scans but nothing else. Suggestions? Thanks for your input.
  16. It has put a "normal" scan - at start up every day. I did not schedule this. What's up with that? Thanks very much. Can someone pls tell me how to disable this scan at startup. I don't want that. I have scheduled hyper scan to start after an hour of boot daily and threat weekly. But again this morning, it ran a threat scan when I booted. Not sure how to proceed except to cancel the scan. Thanks.
  17. Mostly fine - Loads everything as in protection modules, comes up in the sys tray BUT - still says cannot load anti-rootkit driver AND it has put a "normal" scan - at start up every day. I did not schedule this. What's up with that? Thanks very much.
  18. Thought everything going good - until today. MB does not want to load - when it does after a reboot - comes up with message, "unable to load rootkit drivers-may be root kit activity." So reboot again - loads but now cannot access net thru Chrome or Opera. After another reboot, chrome comes up but everything seems to drag. Thoughts?? Also, yesterday I changed scan schedule and today it looks like it did before the change. Thanks for any help.
  19. Just wanted to let you "guys" know -- the new version seems to be working fine. Icon shows up in sys tray and the orange alert regarding protection status is gone!! All protections in place. Hope it all holds - thanks for your hard work fixing all of 3.2 issues.
  20. So far, so good. Everything seems to be working. Thanks.
