  1. I had a problem with antivirus soft, now xp guardian. Malware bytes keeps finding backdoor.bot, but never logs it in quarantine and it keeps resurfacing after a scan and removal. It isn't running in task manager also, I check each time. So I ran Hijackthis latest version and here is the log file: Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 9:50:37 AM, on 3/7/2010 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6000.16915) Boot mode: Safe mode with network support Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe O2 - When it finds it I get the error 731 (0,6) and it tells me to report it. I can only run malwarebytes in safe mode also. When that error comes up in regular mode, it shuts it down after I click OK on it.
