  1. I have used MBAM (registered version) and ESET NOD32 together for years and over several versions of Windows, with no conflict between them. I recently updated NOD32 version 5 to version 6; after which I have had persistent problems with incomplete boots (Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate). Boot logging suggests (to me) that one of ESET's files is the culprit. ESET advise that there is a conflict between their application and MBAM - although I am not convinced that there is. To try and diagnose the issue I first totally disabled MBAM from starting with Windows and set its services to Disabled. I still got the issues. So the gurus on the ESET forum said I should completely uninstall MBAM, which (reluctantly) I have. I'm still getting boot issues. Since MBAM and NOD32 are fairly obvious bedfellows, has anyone here experienced these issues? As I said earlier I don't think MBAM is the issue, but I have to convince ESET that I've done what they've asked. Regards John
  2. That seems to have done the trick - thanks. Oddly, though, the icon placed on the desktop was the "Windows generic" one and I had to change it to the familiar MB one. But, so far, so good. John
  3. I seem to have much the same issue - in Win7 Ultimate. No tray icon any more, but Task Manager shows that: mbamgui.exe *32, mbamsheduler.exe *32 and mbamservice.exe *32 are all running. If I open Malwarebytes from the desktop, mbam.exe *32 is added to the running list and, if "Update" is run, it finds an update. Protection is shown as "enabled" and starting when Windows starts. When the Malwarebytes GUI is closed, mbam.exe *32 ceases to run, but the tray icon remains in place. I think it probably is working OK, but it's not convincing. John Gruffydd.
