  1. I reenabled both, I am still seeing no sign of Skyjem or Accoona 😸
  2. I don't see Skyjem nor Accoona popping up anymore, thank you and Porthos so much for the help 😹, I can't express how happy I am for the help!! Do you think it's okay for me to reenable my ad blocker and the malwarebytes browser guard? I'm just wondering where Skyjem and Accoona came from. 😕
  3. Hello, and I want to apologize for the the late response. I thought my message went through from earlier in the day. But it looks like it didn't. I just wanted to say that I have uninstalled McAfee and that I cleaned and reset Edge. I haven't tested it yet, but I do truly appreciate this help that you are giving to me. :)
  4. Oh will do, out of the two AVs which would you recommend me keeping? I had McAfee as a trial and I'm just more familiar with Avast due to it being used the most in my household. But I don't really know which is better. And should I reset the settings as well of the edge browser or leave that be? Thanks again :)
  5. Thanks so much for the help, I apologize for the late response, and I'm totally cool with the process. Anything to get m/y boy (my laptop) back into a clean safe place once again 😸. I ran the following scans and followed the instructions and have attached the files that the scans have given me as of 8/14/24 thanks again for the help 😸 Addition.txt FRST.txt Malwarebytes Scan Report 2024-08-14 150704.txt AdwCleaner[S02].txt
  6. Here are my files from the Support Tool mbst-grab-results.zip
  7. So I have edge and it updated this morning but now it shows a page called 'Accoona' and searches online yields nothing helpful. I'm working on removing it but what is it? Is it a virus or malware? I haven't clicked on strange links or downloaded anything suspicious. I had installed Malewarebytes and it is blocking it but I want it gone. Scans aren't picking it up. And Edge's search engine list isn't picking it up either. As for Skyjem, it gets through and I don't know how to get rid of it. I ran ADWCleaner, and got this...I don't know if this is the problem or not. I have an adblocker extension, but its never given me a problem. It just started this week.
