Hello forum,
On june 30 2024 I installed Malwarebytes version 5.1.5.90 and today I discovered that on certain websites, for instance the login page of outlook, I got the message "server not found", but other websites like youtube worked fine.
My current version of firefox is 115.12.0esr (64-bits). When I looked if I could update it there was a line of text that said: "Can't check for updates."
So I started to google for solutions and I found this post on your forum.:
In it the person says that immediately after installing malwarebytes (paid version) the problem occured.:
"5. The problem occurred IMMEDIATELY on my wife's laptop after installing the paid version. "
So after reading this I used your Support tool (mb-support-1.9.11.1017) to do a Clean removal of Malwarebytes.
After the removal I restarted my pc and saw that it solved my problem. All the websites could be reached and firefox could find an update.
I post this so that others might find it if they have the same problem.
