Thank you Mr./Ms. Root Admin. In fact your initial comment, "It's actually on the Public Desktop but that too normally shows on your desktop as well," was the answer. I was not finding the .zip file when I looked at my desktop in Windows Explorer. But the (excellent) Chat agent suggested I look for the file on my actual desktop, i.e. on the display screen after minimizing all other windows. And there it was! I thought the discrepancy might have arisin from some misguided policy on Microsoft's part to hide .zip files on the desktop. But in fact it was hiding that particular .zip file only, and only when looking for it in my own personal Desktop Folder, because in fact it was not in my own personal Desktop Folder! Thanks to you both for your insights.

Hi, in Windows, I used the MB support tool v1.9.12.1020 as a starting point to extract some log files. I don't have an open support ticket, so I chose Advanced->Gather Logs. After it ran for a while, it ended with a pop-up that said that mbst-grab-results.zip has been created on my Desktop. Except that it wasn't. There is no mbst-grab-results.zip on my desktop. Does anyone know where it would have placed this file, if not on my desktop? Alternatively, is there any reason why the support tool might have NOT written mbst-grab-results.zip? Thank you

No, the Threat Scan Results screen does not say what the default action is if I don't tick any boxes. It only lists the threats found, with tick boxes for each one, and a big blue button to Quarantine them. Any user would read this to mean that a threat will be quarantined only by ticking a box and then clicking the Quarantine button, and that the default action if I leave the boxes unchecked is to do nothing. So if the default action for Unticked threats on the Threat Scan Results screen really is to Quarantine any unticked boxes, then this screen REALLY needs to be re-worded.

Oh, you mean that's the default action on the Threat Scan Results screen, not the pop-up. So maybe it's the Threat Scan Results screen that needs to be re-worded or clarified. I don't have any current threat scan results so I can't re-read that screen, but I'll look at it next time. Thank you

Yes, I know that now. But it's not at all clear from the language of the pop-up. I'm suggesting a better wording of the pop-up that removes the confusion.

Malwarebytes scanned my computer and found an item that I wish to quarantine. On the Threat Scan Results page, if I tick the checkbox for the item I want to quarantine, then click the button that says “Quarantine”, the dialog that pops up does not ask me to Confirm that I want to quarantine the item. Instead it only offers the option to Ignore the item. Please see attached file "My Screen-cap.png", which shows the Threat Scan Results in the background, with the Quarantine button that I clicked. And in front of it is the “Ignore Item?” pop-up, offering only options to Ignore the item. But why would the pop-up offer me only the option to Ignore the item I selected, when I already told MWB that I want to Quarantine it? Why isn't there another choice in the pop-up offering for me to Confirm that I want to Quarantine it, rather than Ignore it? And what if I do click Ignore? Would that or wouldn't that override my prior request to Quarantine it? And what if I just X-out of the pop-up (which is the only other available choice if I don't want to click Ignore)? Will my selected item then have been quarantined, or not? I asked this question to Malwarebytes support, and they responded that the popup in my screen-cap refers to the unticked item, not the ticked item. They added an arrow to my screen-cap and sent it back to me, to show what they mean. (See attached "MWB Support's response.png"). This is not at all what many users (like me) would understand when viewing the pop-up. If this is really what the Pop-up means, then that's what it should say. It should first confirm that my Ticked item has been quarantined, and then ask whether I want to ignore the Unticked items. This is merely a language change. I'm not asking for any change in functionality. Thank you.
