  1. Thank you very much, Porthos! You are correct. I mistakenly assumed that unchecking the item would cause it to have no action performed for the detection. You have solved my problem. I would say this technique is perhaps not the most obvious approach to ignoring an item, but it does work. Also, It seems to me that not being able to add a symbolic link in the Allow List process might be a deficiency in the product. Again, I very much appreciate your assistance and rapid response.

  3. I am running Malwarebytes 5.1.4.112. On my Windows drive I have a symbolic link to a folder on an external drive that contains picture files. The folder symbolic link, the folder to which it points and all the files inside that folder have been flagged as potentially containing a Trojan. I am quite sure they do not. I just want to stop the detections. I have successfully added the external drive folder to the Allow List. However, Malwarebytes still flags the symbolic link. I can see no way to add it to the Allow List. If I try via the normal add process and select the symbolic link from the file listing, then the symbolic link name is replaced with the external folder name to which it points. I need Malwarebytes to stop flagging this symbolic link . How can I accomplish that? Also, why isn't there a way on the detection list to simply say to ignore that detection? I shouldn't have to go to a separate Allow List process to do that. Thanks for any assistance.
