  1. Well you were a great help for me. I just deleted the files and assumed that they were not malware as Malwarebytes did not find a threat when it scanned them after being restored (is that correct?). Thanks. It is obvious you are an expert in this.
  2. Ok. Sorry I picked the wrong forum. Thanks again for your help!
  3. So do you think I am OK? And should I just delete the files and not worry about it? Not sure what an AI heuristic detection is.
  4. Any recommendations or ideas on what happened and what I should do about it all?
  5. I do have Cyberlink PowerDirector 365 and it uses an "application manager" to update itself but I have not updated in over a week. I guess if I downloaded them previously why would Malwarebytes just now had flagged them? BTW. Thank you for your help and your diligence in putting up with me. So very thankful!
  6. Yes. I received two PDF documents and one Word document. They all looked legitimate to me.
  7. I have no idea how those files got there.
  8. I highlighted them, right clicked, chose scan with Malwarebytes, and it said it scanned three files nothing detected. What do you mean "they are not for me?" I thought you wanted me to send you those three files. Did you just mean you are going to forward to someone else?
  9. Here are the zipped files. ApplicationManager_4.3.3717.4993ba95_STD_APM231005-01.zip
  10. OH no! I restored them and they no longer show up in the threat list. So how do I re-quarantine them after I am done sending the files to you. They no longer show up in the threat list.
  11. Ok. As I understand I need to do the following: (1) restore the three files, (2) find where they are located (not sure if that will be obvious, (3) highlight then zip the files, and then send that zipped file to you. Is this correct?
  12. Can you tell me what happens when I "restore" these three files? Will I remain protected from them or will it some how activate them?
  13. OK. I see the option to Restore. Obviously I am a novice with Malwarebytes even though I have used it for many years. I am also very inexperienced when it comes to dealing with malware. That said, I am nervous about doing anything that could activate or allow these three files to do anything. Can you tell me what will happen if I un-quarantine them? What could I do if I am not careful. For example, currently I have my cursor set to automatically one-click a file in Windows File Explorer. Sometimes when I try to highlight a file it opens it unintentionally. What would happen if I accidentally opened one of these files as they look to me to be .exe files.
