I had a couple of Trojans that keep returning even after a Hard disk wipe and reinstall of W11 and reflash BIOS. It seems that W11 download PDF files from my outlook.com free mail account and saves them on your hard disk without your approval when you install W11 with an online account. The solution is to remove the online account from your W11 install. Malwarebytes did not detect this problem. It was detected when I did a full disk scan with Windows Defender. --- Here is a sample: Trojan:PDF/Phish!MSR and Trojan Downloader:Win32/Qakbot!ml Not Detected

Thank you for you help. This is a computer that I need for work on Monday, so I have decided to wipe (delete all partitions and reformat) the hard disk and install a clean copy of W11. I also turned off java script my pdf viewer and only save pdf not auto-open. I also updated to the latest BIOS on the mother board. Now I need some way to scan PDF files before I open them. Malwarebytes did not detect Trojan:PDF/Phish!MSR and Trojan Downloader:Win32/Qakbot!ml Not Detected. I think the infection was from a 7-zip install, but not sure. Attached are the W11 defender screen captures
