  1. Okay, I don't know if it's just dumb luck or what, but the malware's gone now? FRST always seemed to stop prematurely for some reason so I tried a couple more times without much change. I tried running the ESET scanner, but it closed every time before I even got to the terms of use, then refused to even run. I scanned once more on Malwarebytes and only 2 malware appeared this time before the scan finished and immediately rebooted my computer. Scanned again just to make sure, and voila, no detections. Should I be worried or relieved? MWB report.txt
  2. Alright, I scanned and I see some of the things my scans have been saying are malware, along with one I thought I got rid of long ago in the addition.txt. Charity Engine (HKLM\...\{4643056C-B56D-4D40-8DB3-301BD174CD34}) (Version: 7.14.2 - Charity Engine) I also included a scan report in case that helps any. Thanks so much for the help! 3. Got home to my laptop fans blasting full force while it was closed and when I'd opened it up, it was so hot that the bottom of my screen stared flickering. Thought it was weird and tried to scan via windows defender; it didn't let me. Tried searching for Malwarebytes, site can't be reached. Luckily I had the setup file still in my downloads, but some of these malware files keep popping up after quarantine and deletion. They're all for mining which explains why my laptop almost overheated but I can't seem to get rid of them. As I'm typing this, I'm getting constant popups of "website blocked due to trojan". I need help before my computer completely melts.
