Same thing happens to me. It appears to only affect Chrome. I have browser guard installed on Opera, Edge, and Firefox but none of them experience this strange slow performance that happens on Chrome. Clearing browser guard storage fixes it for me or uninstalling the extension but then the hassle of having to add the websites back to the whitelist.

MV3 update is making the blocking feature too aggressive. It's blocking some sites where it was not blocking prior to the MV3 update. I've also got Adblocker Ultimate and uBlock Origin, but these do not block the sites that Browser Guard is blocking due to the Scam feature.

Started happening today for some reason. Wordpress sites that have hosted images with this address in its url "s.wordpress.com" is being blocked. Not sure why. It isn't harmful or malicious. Noticed this after Chrome's latest update to version 112.0.5615.87 (64-bit). I can pinpoint the issue directly to Malware protection being enabled. The page load on Chrome is very slow to the point it would occassionally freeze for a few seconds. Once disabled, Chrome page loading returns to normal. I'm only experiencing this issue on Chrome. The only two other browsers I use are FireFox and Opera. Not of which are displaying this issue. I am experiencing this issue on both my desktop pc and laptop.
