  1. Hi Bec, Have a look at my post on http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=36652 I have got all my quarantine still in there, but I deleted the trojan virus, also stopped programs in my startup through msconfig. Then identified which were spyware or virus that malwarebytes hadn't identified yet. Finally I got Windows Defender which found the hijacking. I do hope this helps. I am only a newbie. But so far it is ok with me.
  2. Ever since I had a problem with security tool virus, I have been using malwarebytes and turning of all the numbered.exe in the msconfig file. I have had nothing but problems with the internet webpage being mis sent to an awful webpage which was goverened by, I now know as a settings modifier. I found this finally after uploading the Windows defender program http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/...er/default.mspx so if anyone else has the same problem it's a big thank you all round. Unfortunately malwarebytes picked up all the rest, trojan horst, trojan vundo, rogue multiple, adware and more adware in the restore files, so it did well except for the numbers .exe and alcmtr.exe which showed up viruses eventually under a search when I looked for the particular *.exe name from the msconfig startup tab. I was able to delete them and I hope that I am back to normal now......please! I am a very tired bod.
