Thanks Porthos for trying to help me, I do appreciate it. I know it's the 3rd party that manages our security policy, not me. I also know they may not know how to do it, hence my post. I am trying to understand how one would go about allowing an exception for my specific request. Perhaps it's not even possible. If someone from this community can point me to the relevant source then I would be in a better position when I do approach our 3rd party.

I understand I can't make the change. Apologies, this is not what I am asking. The required change will be made by the 3rd party. I am trying to gain an understanding (i.e. to see if this is possible) before proceeding to them. Otherwise, I know I will just be advised to not change anything.

I am not quite sure. Our Malwarebytes in managed by 3rd party and I don't have access to any control panel, only to start and stop a scan. I know I should go straight to them, but I will be met with the advice to not change anything. This is why I posted here, to see what the community thinks. Surely there must be a way to allow an exception somewhere, somehow

Hi, After installing Malwarebytes I am having a problem with running a command via a script. In MS Excel, I have a line of code that runs an executable .jar file. objShell.Run(path/to/jar) I understand the need to block these particular requests, but is there any way of allowing this? Not across the board but via an exception, e.g. if the file is in a protected location. Thanks
