Here is the logfile from process monitor with the ransomware real-time protection disabled. The issue is not present and my camera feed behaves as wanted and expected. Please note - i've disabled all applications I can (as requested) In both circumstances, I left MBAM loaded (i.e. I didn't have to double click on the shortcut to start the program). Closing MBAM then starting it again after process monitor was running created logs in excess of 1GB (prior to zipping them). If the DEVs would like me to run process monitor again and start MBAM each time, I can. Just let me know. LogfileMBAMnorwarerealtime.zip

good morning/afternoon! I'll run the MS thing in just a bit. Answers to questions: 0 - I've had the issue for as long as I owned the card, granted I only purchased the cam link pro a week or two ago and quickly found the camera freezing issue, as well as the post on reddit for the work around. The card was purchased brand new (not refurbed, nor used). 1 - I don't recall which version of MBAM it was for me, but at this point I believe its been at least two versions (the current version and the one prior) 1a - The above being said, it appears to have been an issue for longer than just me, as the OP on the reddit posted about this very issue in May 2022. for reference: https://www.reddit.com/r/elgato/comments/uvkcl7/issue_regarding_periodic_stutter_on_camlink_pro/

forgot to mention Elgato has moved this issue to their Dev department, with no eta on when they will look into it/get back to me. They asked that we (MBAM and I) try to keep working on things as we have been to see if there is something we can come up with. I wanted to mention that its great that neither company (MBAM or Elgato) has pointed the finger at the other. I've had so many situations when I was in IT where a software company would point the finger at someone else, or microsoft would point the finger at another vendor. its really neat to have both sides working on this.

so, I went and enabled the logging, then rebooted. On that initial reboot, I started getting a "Critical Process Died" right as the login screen was coming on. It kept BSOD'ing until I did a system restore to yesterday morning. I'll wait to update MBAM and try the camera again. any thoughts on the BSOD?

i've cleaned off everything that wasn't used/up-to-date. I do have a windows patch to install, but its a whole new win10 version which just released today, and I'm not comfortable installing that yet, I normally give a brand new version a few days for the early adopters to deal with the bugs. Just circling back - I still have this issue with MBAM, where my camera freezes every 10-13 seconds while the ransomeware real-time protection is enabled. I've tried the camera in all four ports of my cam link pro. Elgato has sent my ticket to development on their end to see whats going on. Any other things we can try with MBAM?

ran FRST, file attached. regarding acronis - the version I have works well enough. Is there a different recommended piece of software that will image my system similar to what I have now, but is a more recent release? I'd rather not get newer acronis versions if they're that bloated. I hate bloatware. Fixlog.txt
