why is malwarebytes open upon computer start

I have exactly the same issue on Windows 7 - it started happening after MBAM upgraded to 2.1.8 . Whenever I log in I find MBAM has opened the main window; occasionally the window is fully open but usually it is minimised on the task bar. Like lauriej, I haven't changed any settings (in fact, there is nothing about this in Settings). Although it is slightly annoying to have to close the window every time I log on, it is not so bad that I want to go through the process of uninstalling and reinstalling MBAM - sorry! -
The IP 81.177.22.11 is blocked by MBAM and this prevents access to the site www.encode.ru which contains forums on data compression. patermann
