  1. Thanks for that. I've managed to get all my data off the laptop which is good. I'm now (as we speak) in the process of reinstalling windows 10 from my recovery USB I made a while back. Then to transfer everything back across and install the applications I had before back onto the laptop. Hopefully soon I will have a working laptop again 🤞🏻.
  2. Okay, yeah that seems to be what it is doing. Thankyou for the links. Although I'm disappointed in how this has happened and what scenario I'm in. I do appreciate your help in trying to get it back working for me, so I personally thank you for this. It's another case I guess to remind us how easy something can go wrong and then cause a fatal error in the system in which only a new install of Windows will fix. Regards.
  3. It's the scenario I sadly didn't want to be in. I'm baffled as to how I'm at this stage now, and how the laptop has got to be in such a position. It was working perfectly prior to the update. I can't help but be full of regret for doing the upgrade to version 4.5 on my laptop. If I'd of known this would happen I'd of never ever contemplated the upgrade. I'll continue and try to go about getting my data off the laptop or even take it somewhere else, I'm sceptical about salvaging this before anything else happens.
  4. I have also tried the rest pc option now as I am despserate to get this back working, this also fails and is unable to run. I can not believe how or why it is like this. I'll wait for you to instruct me further for the next move. Thank you.
  5. I've followed your link above and when I try the "Fix BCD errors" part, I type in 'Bootrec /ScanOS' it scans and shows this, I'll attach picture. Does this mean I have no windows installation?
  6. Here it is, got it saved to the usb after a bit of trying different things. SrtTrail.txt
  7. Hi, I have copied the srt file in the cmd prompt. How do I paste it to my usb that is plugged into the (not working) laptop?
  8. I'll have at look at this. It is my last shift at work tonight so will be on this tomorrow and we can try and work through what you want me to do. How would I find this file, any pointers? All I've got to work with is cmd prompt at the moment and no boot up on the laptop. Thanks.
  9. I have also tried system restore again to see if this would work but it still fails and no joy unfortunately with this. I'll await for you to reply and we'll go from here. Thank you
  10. I can't get this kaspersky removal tool to run as my laptop is at the moment. I've also tried starting my laptop in safe mode to try again but it won't boot in this either, sorry to be of no help on this point.
  11. Also prior to the issue and I don't know if this is relevant but I thought it would be necessary to mention. The computer came up with a message (I can't remember exactly the message) but it was from the security/maintenance area saying the memory was full where the restore memory is held (or alike). It had actions to fix this but failed to fix it, so I found the 2 files that were named in this message to fix and deleted them. I think it might be one of them that does appear on the last scan list. As I say I don't know if this is relevant, but could replacing those 2 files help us or be hindering anything to fix it now?
  12. Will I be able to do this even though my laptop won't boot up? Eg install this removal tool to remove kaspersky?
  13. Fingers crossed this will show you something good to fix for me. I'm off to work shortly so will reply back to you again as soon as I can after you have replied. Thanks again.
  14. Hi, I have done the scan and I'll attach the log here. FRST.txt
  15. I'll do this as soon as I can and post back on here. I'm away at work on nights at the moment so will try and do tomorrow when I am up. Thank you.
  16. Also just to note, when I ran the fixlist in farbar it ran very quickly and didn't take very long. It was maybe about 4 or 5 seconds then it was completed. Hopefully this is normal, but thought it is worth mentioning in case it isn't.
  17. Hi Sorry for the delay. We must have a time difference, I'm here in the UK and I had to go to sleep as it iwas almost midnight, but thank you for replying to me. I've ran you fix list file, unfortunately the laptop still won't boot and is the same. I'll attach the fix log file here. I'll wait for you to reply for the next steps. Thanks again. Fixlog.txt
  18. My apologies, I should of watched the video in full, this does explain it all well. I didn't see it at the bottom.
  19. Yes that has cracked it, the scan has run and completed all well. I will attach the log here. FRST.txt
  20. Yes I wanted to double check and yes the FRST64 is in the correct place, will try the shift and f10 now like what you have said above, thank you
  21. I've adjusted to boot from this new USB with the created files from the link and laptop has booted to this screen. I've tried the repair option, it takes me back to the normal repair screen that I've been seeing before. If I click install is this correct to get this log?
  22. There is a option that states it can keep files. I do not know enough on how explicit this is? and I don't want to take the risk, not knowing the full facts of this. The other option within "pc reset" is a complete reset, deletes everything, obviously I'm not going to take this option. The problem I have is I had no laptop to work on to create anything as mine is broke, I have managed now to borrow a laptop from someone thankfully, I'm now creating the usb disc from your link. I'm always extremly concious of what my laptop performs , hence I have never had issues before. I do keep back ups, but certianly not weekly or monthly, had I of known this would lead to this happening, prior to upgrading malwarebytes I would of made a back up. I'm not sure how I have ended up with the laptop in this predicament after doing the upgrade but it is now sadly. And I am hoping this can be recovered back to the great laptop it has been for me with a bit of luck, fingers crossed.
