  1. I'd just like to thank the Admins and Trusted Advisers for their help on the problem. Also thanking anon743 for raising the issue, without which I'd still be in the dark blindly trying to update the database.
  2. Is it still the policy to enable another free trial for each new version installed over the top of an old one which had an expired trial period?
  3. Yes, I realise that, and have been happy to be a guinea pig up to now. Does that mean that Betas are limited to systems that otherwise don't run Malwarebytes?
  4. Thanks that's reassuring. I'm waiting (longer than Malwarebytes response times) for my ISP to let me know whether I can get IPv6 on my adsl2 copper connection by updating the router. It is enabled on all of my Win10 PCs to no avail. I will try over the weekend to install a newer version and if successful will need to upgrade to premium as I currently also run the standalone versions of Anti-Exploit and Anti-Ransomeware. Have appreciated being able to do that up to now.
  5. Sorry to hear this but thanks for getting back and giving the reason. A pity that you didn't anticipate this and give an earlier warning before the change. In other forums it has been said that users needed IPv6. Is that the case for newer versions, as I only have IPv4 connectivity?
  6. The fact that there are so many still using this version tells of users dedication to Malwarebytes security, and as such I'm sure most would have upgraded if they could do so. The reasons they can't are many and varied and it would be a sad day if Malwarebytes was to lose clients because they are unable to solve this problem. I'm hoping that they will still be pursuing a fix, but realistically it may take longer for a response in these trying times.
  7. I've also experienced this problem on five Win10 computers. I read on an older forum for a more recent version of Malwarebytes, that IPv6 was needed. My older modem/router doesn't support that but was happily updating until 19 May. I wonder if the server has been changed to IPv6 only now and cutting a lot of users off. I installed the android version on my mobile today via WiFi and it wouldn't get me a database, but updated successfully when I turned on the 4G connection.
