  1. Thank you. It is all working smoothly and perfectly. I believe it should be solved now.

  4. Hello, thank you! I have done this, just to be safe. I have not encountered any issues recently. I just wanted to be sure that everything is removed. I do not know if the riskware was just a google redirect or if it was something more serious, but I did 3 more virus scans and nothing has popped up. Should I be safe if I change passwords and that is all, or is there something else I should do?
  5. Hello! I am not sure that this is the proper place because this might be very small. I logged on my computer today and it was perfectly fine. However, as I started working (I work from home with my work software on a virtual machine), I noticed that my non-work chrome google search redirected. I would search for something and it would go to a google search, but if I searched for something again using that same google search window, it would redirect to an alternate site, "findquide" was the name I believe. The website would just load with a white screen, nothing popped up. I would instantly close this and searched a few more times before realizing it was infected. I blocked and uninstalled my chrome extensions that I don't use (one was a video downloader and I believe that was likely the one), and restarted chrome, and the redirects do not occur anymore. I scanned with windows defender and nothing was found. I scanned with malwarebytes and a couple of "RiskWare.ProcessHacker" have been quarantined. I did several full scans and nothing else has come up, and I have scanned with adwcleaner and nothing has popped up. I have changed some passwords. Only the chrome google redirects occurred, there was nothing that I ran or installed, nothing else is suspicious. Am I safe at this point? Or what else should I do to ensure that I am safe? I have 2 factor authentication set up on my phone for anything important, but I was logged in with my emails+discord+steam, and google chrome has many saved passwords on it, including paypal and navy federal (which have 2 factor set up, but still).
