  1. After Malwarebytes has (perhaps over-eagerly) placed a file into quarantine, one is able restore the file to its original location by selecting it and hitting the Restore button. I presume (but haven't verified) that the file contents are properly restored, but I note that the last modified time of the file is not set correctly. Instead it is set to the time of the Restore operation. This is not a proper restoration of the file, and needs fixing soon. I'm surprised an established product like Malwarebytes was released with such a basic defect. I downloaded it yesterday (4.5 version).
  2. Scan flagged 7 .exe files with "Generic.Malware/Suspicious". The 7 files are all files that came from a game collection called "24 Games for Windows 95" which has a main program for launching a game. They all came off of (an ancient) CD-ROM that originally came in a box, I think. I probably played most of them once or twice, and I still play one or two from time to time (on Windows 7). I have doubts that code that old is much of a threat (but of course do things old-style). Log attached showing the 7 file names, but I've unquarantined only one and attached it in a zip. If you want the others sent, let me know. CRYPTO.zip malwarebytes initial scan results.txt
