  1. I already had malwarebytes i did first the quick scan then the advanced scan on both my drives with all options which took 4 hours. 0 results found for both of them. After that i downloaded AdwCleaner which found 33. It was PUP.Optional.AdvancedSystemCare,Legacy,SlimCleanerPlus,WebCompanion and WinRepairPro. Quarantined them all but pc did not restart. I downloaded FRST ran it with antivirus on (i only got a windows smartscreen warning) it found 3 "attention" things in the FRST.txt file, which were: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox: Restriction <==== ATTENTION FF ExtraCheck: C:\Program Files\mozilla firefox\defaults\pref\bd_js_config.js [2019-09-24] <==== ATTENTION (Points to *.cfg file) FF ExtraCheck: C:\Program Files\mozilla firefox\bd_config.cfg [2019-09-24] <==== ATTENTION I created a fixlist.txt and pasted all 3 into it. Clicked on fix tab and i got a log in return saying: Fix result of Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (x64) Version: 08-03-2022 Ran by tom (12-03-2022 06:12:17) Run:1 Running from C:\Users\tom\Downloads Loaded Profiles: tom Boot Mode: Normal ============================================== fixlist content: ***************** HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox: Restriction <==== ATTENTION FF ExtraCheck: C:\Program Files\mozilla firefox\defaults\pref\bd_js_config.js [2019-09-24] <==== ATTENTION (Points to *.cfg file) FF ExtraCheck: C:\Program Files\mozilla firefox\bd_config.cfg [2019-09-24] <==== ATTENTION ***************** HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla => removed successfully C:\Program Files\mozilla firefox\defaults\pref\bd_js_config.js => moved successfully C:\Program Files\mozilla firefox\bd_config.cfg => moved successfully ==== End of Fixlog 06:12:17 ==== Restarted my pc and scanned it again with FRST, I checked both FRST.txt and Addition.txt, they both came back with no "Attention" (btw my main browser is chrome not firefox, i rarely use firefox anymore) You told me to attach the files so you could review them for me but i think it would be a useful thing to know so i tried to do some of it by myself so I could learn. If you still need me to attach the .txt files let me know. Thank you for the help.
  2. I got a follow from someone on twitter with the username "Leksmut" and their pfp was greyed out / didn't load for me, so i clicked on their avatar and the page just kept spam refreshing and said "profile picture couldn't load properly" or something like that. I got a bad feeling about it so i decided to google it and saw posts about something called stegosploit and other stories that people could hack you by you just clicking on a photo online. Should i be worried? (i do have malwarebytes premium and the chrome extension) could someone knowledgeable maybe check their avatar and see if it executes any malicious things? (I'm sorry if this is the wrong section) thanks for your time.
