  1. The computer seems to be running normally. As far as I can tell there are no signs of infection. Thank you for the help! If something does come up do I just come back here?
  2. adwcleaner recommended a basic repair and i ran the repair. I hope that was okay malwarebytesscan.txt AdwCleaner[S00].txt FRST.txt Addition.txt
  3. After following the steps in the link, and running a scan again afterwards there are no detections. Please and thank you I'd love to do other scans to put my paranoia to rest!
  4. Yesterday I was downloading custom content for my game, one file that was downloaded was a cd/dvd rom file. It opened and i was able to "eject" it and delete it. Afterwards my Chrome was hijacked and my google searches were being redirected to bing. I found the extension added to my chrome and removed it. (It kept installing the extension) I finally found the file to the extension in the chrome folder in my computer and deleted it. After deleting both extension and the file from my computer it stopped redirecting. However, afterwards my chrome would close and then open with two new windows every about every 10 minutes and powershell would open. I'm not super tech savvy but found in the event viewer that my chrome was triggering powershell every 10 minutes. After deleting that it all stopped. My chrome and pc has been running what seems fine to me, but I'm paranoid I still have some malware or some type of virus on my computer. I did run Malwarebytes at some point before deleting the files of the extension and it detected PUPs (I of course quarantined them.) I've since then ran Microsoft Security-0 detects, Malewarebytes-0 detects, Avast-0 detects, Rkill-0 detects. ADWcleaner-0 detects I also ran the command prompt "sfc/ scannow" right after malwarebytes detected the PUPs and it found corrupted files and successfully repaired them. I've attached the very first scan I did. I'm sorry this is long. I'm really paranoid. 15165.txt recent15165.txt
