  1. Seems to be working fine now! Thank you, I appreciate the help.
  2. D'oh! Sorry about that. I've attached the correct file. tableditdemo.zip
  3. Hmm, I'm a little confused. I did restore it from the quarantine list before zipping it and attaching. I'll include a screenshot of my quarantine list (it's empty). Perhaps I made a mistake somewhere along the way? I could always download and install the program again and attach the .exe file before trying to run it.
  4. Attached! Also, @cli asked me to attach the file itself; however, I'm not allowed to attach .exe files. RTPlog.txt
  5. Hello! I just downloaded a program called TablEdit. It's a tablature program for Windows. When I tried to open it, MB flagged it as malicious and quarantined the program. If it's actually malicious, I would like to know so I don't compromise my PC, but I suspect that this is a false positive. Thanks! Here is a link to the program in question.
  6. I managed to find a few minutes to work through these steps this evening. I'm attaching it now. I've been using LastPass as a password manager and Backblaze for backups for a few years now (in addition to external hard drives for the really important stuff), and have been satisfied with both! (Years ago, I would everything up on DVD-Rs, and I'm so happy that I don't have to do that any longer.) This is a new one for me, and I'm happy to learn about it! I've run across so many scammy and/or trial versions of programs like this, but never something that is actually free and efficient. I definitely install all available updates immediately. As you know, Windows stopped support for Windows 7 a few years ago. For a long while, I wasn't getting any update notifications, but over the past few months I seem to have a new one every time I turn on my PC. I will definitely review! I've been using both for a few years now, and I'm quite happy with the results! Thank you again for all of your help. Not only have you helped resolve the original issue, but you've also given me some new tips and tricks to keep everything safe and secure, and I'm really grateful! kprm-20220525223014.txt
  7. Will do! I may not have time until the weekend, but I will get this done.
  8. Everything seems a-ok! Perhaps changing the DNS Server settings did the trick?
  9. After searching for the brand name of my SDD and "diagnostic," I was led to a Micro Center forum where an admin stated that they use CrystalDiskInfo as a diagnostic. I downloaded that software and this was the result I got: I don't seem to be having any other major issues. I did not re-install Malwarebytes; @Porthos suggested that I download the offline installer, and I was able to update Malwarebytes without issue. I'd be happy to run any other tests and see if the issue is resolved or if I'm still going to have problems with updates. The only other issue I seem to be having is in regards to VST files. I'm a musician, and if I try to run too many virtual instruments simultaneously, I get some pops, clicks and lag. AFAIK, that's what I should expect from a decade-old laptop, but I'd be happy to learn that I'm wrong and could resolve that as well. Other than that, my PC seems to run fine, but I'm not doing anything particularly taxing outside of the music.
  10. Sounds about right, since I bought the SSD at Micro Center :) Thank you for all of your help!
  11. @Porthos Thanks! The txt file is attached to this message. Fixlog.txt
  12. Seems as though I can't save that file. The file says it's unavailable. When I click it, I'm taken to a page saying, "This attachment is not available. It may have been removed or the person who shared it may not have permission to share it to this location."
