  1. Just downloaded the newest update just released for Malwarebytes after checking manually for an update in the app, and that seems to have fixed the issue
  2. Can confirm the memory issue is still happening when it is not set as home page. I had new tab set as home page and went to the site after and it still happened!
  3. Sure thing! Booting up and after logging in to Windows, minus any other programmes I usually have open all the time, I open Edge and I have Disney+ set as the home page and already logged in. All I do is pick something I want to watch. I have subtitles on due to APD. I sometimes use full screen and sometimes not, I find that doesn't affect the issue as it happens with both options. I don't have any autoplay on so I manually click through to next episode or new movies. I have no idea what else to add if you need it, so let me know if you need more info!
  4. Hey there! Sorry for the delay, I had family visiting. I streamed Netflix on Edge with Browser Guard active. Took a screenshot of task manager, it never broke above 1000MB. It was actually only around 600mb for most of the movie, only went up to 800 from the screenshot when the movie was done and I clicked another one to load up and watch. Went back down to 600mb when I was done and back in the Netflix menu, which Disney+ never did, it only ever kept going up. But yeah, Netflix never broke 1000mb. I had the movies streaming on one side of my screen and the task manager taking up the right, because I only have the one screen to work with. But I kept an eye on it the whole time like I did the other times :) This was after a Windows update and fresh restart today. Tried Disney+ again too and had the same old issue. Haven't had a chance to try different protection levels yet but thought I'd get back to you with this. Seems the issue is unique to Disney+ and Browser Guard. Sleep help videos are just sound! Rain noises, or sometimes long form video analysis of video games I like because often the voices are pretty soothing and no sudden loud noises. Yeah, my disk drive space... I have a LOT of video games installed on D drive lol I'm indecisive and like to play different things a lot. This amount of space is actually really good for me, I'm usually in the red.
  5. Thanks for the explanations! So I generally have my laptop running for long stretches of time as I have sleep-help youtube videos playing overnight, and then use it constantly during the day. Every now and then I shut it down to help it refresh and rest for a little bit, and install any needed updates. So the increased usage from DWM is probably because I've had a bunch of stuff up and running for a while! System uptime is recording at 10 days 20 hours as of right now. This is normal/regular usage for me! DWM is sitting at 90mb memory at the moment too. In fact I'll probably shut it down after posting this comment to refresh it. I'm still in Windows10 because unfortunately my processor isn't compatible (Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz), just since you mentioned Win11. I meet every other requirement but that which sucks. I'll answer your questions! 1. I have not tried Netflix on Edge but I can test it out now alongside the different protections! 2. I don't think I have run a diagnostic recently. I do occasionally get BSOD on this laptop (it's old now, and as you can see I run it pretty ragged sometimes), but usually a restart rights it all. Over the years I've only ever had a full system crash once where I had to re-install Windows because during a SFC /scannow (this was troubleshooting after a BSOD and the internet told me to run that), it found an issue but when trying to correct it, it bugged out and was in a start-up loop that I couldn't get out of, even when booting in safe mode. So it's probably not at 100% function. Would that be the Windows Memory Diagnostic that comes up from the search function? If so, I can run that. I'll just have to make a system back-up first just in case lol I do not need a repeat of last time. This laptop sometimes feels like it's held together by tape and wilful ignorance. 3. I have 19.8GB of 118GB free on C drive, and 88.6GB of 919GB free on D drive. I run disk cleanup every now and then.
  6. I have 16gb RAM. My RAM--if you mean the memory tab--only goes wildly above 60% in the screenshots while streaming on edge with browser guard active. It keeps climbing and climbing. At the moment with all the exact same things open as the previous screenshots except Edge, it's sitting at 59%. If this was a generalised memory leak, how come it only happens when streaming on edge with browser guard active? Shouldn't it have more affects for other programmes too? (These are genuine questions, I'm just trying to learn about it all too) I've streamed Disney+ and Netflix on Chrome before I started using Edge and didn't run into this issue. DWM is probably running high because I have a bunch of stuff open and running, which is usually not a problem~ Right now it's sitting at 148.1mb, sometimes going down to 142mb. Are you sure it's safe to end that task? I had to look up what it was and the pages I looked at said I shouldn't stop it, as it is an important function for graphical display and would cause issues by stopping it. I'm happy to modify the protection usage to test it out. I'll try it out over the next couple days!
  7. Just had an out of memory error again, here is a debug log! BG-Logs_v2.4.0_2022-05-01_20113.txt
  8. I showed Edge because the error happens in Edge! I had all the exact same processes running at both times for both screenshots and they all ran normally, you can clearly see the issue here is Edge with Browser Guard which is continuing to use more and more memory when Browser Guard is activated. I can not show you full screenshots of task manager as there are many processes running and it's a long list, but they are all working within normal ranges of my usual use. I'll include a screenshot with as much as I can. You can see Chrome's usage in the previous second screenshot too, that was also the same in the first one but was dwarfed by Edge's usage. I do not ever have memory problems outside of using Edge with browser guard active. You can see from my screenshots the excess memory usage it's causing, which is continually rising the longer I watch. VS the normal memory usage it has with browser guard deactivated. I hope you can understand what I mean now! I'll get back to you with a debug log as it happens!
  9. Hello! I turned the browser guard extension back on, closed Edge and reopened it and it updated (now version 101.0.1210.32 (Official build) (64-bit)). I started to stream one 40 minute episode. Edge started at about 500mb memory usage then slowly kept ticking up until it reached this (screenshot 1) at the end of the episode. I started watching a second episode and it went up even further. So I then turned browser guard extension off, closed and re-opened Edge, then started streaming a new episode. It fluctuated between 440mb - 500mb but stayed within that range until I took screenshot 2 at the beginning of the next episode. A very clear difference! How do I get/find a debug log for browser guard?
  10. I knew youtube was awful for ads but I never realised how bad! Well, at least we know the browser guard is working! Thank you for the reply.
  11. As title. Screenshot included. What is going on?! I had this tab open overnight and it just seems to continuously build up. Refreshing the page brings it back down to 0 but then it just keeps building up again. What does it mean? What is it doing?
  12. There is not a forum for Edge so I hope posting here is ok. I use Microsoft Edge purely to stream Disney+. That is the only tab I have open. After streaming for a while, the browser crashes with the Error Code: Out Of Memory. I have to refresh to go back to what I was doing. But after a while, it happens again. It's been happening for a while now. And I know it is Browser Guard because when I disabled it and used Edge for a couple more days, I didn't get the crash and error again. I only have one tab open, the Disney+ video player, and Browser Guard is the only extension installed. Browser Guard version 2.4.0, Edge Version 100.0.1185.50 (Official build) (64-bit).
  13. Awesome! Just updated and ran another scan, no detections :) Thank you!!!
  14. Thank you! But how do you know of a fix being done if you're not an employee?
