  1. Everything seems to be working fine. You've been brilliant. Thank you so much for all of your help. I've already sung the praises of Malwarebytes to loads of people. Have a great day and stay safe as well =) Cheers
  2. Hello. Sorry for the delay again. I downloaded Malwarebytes, restarted the computer and ran the scan and it found no threats. Privacy seems to be working well. It just updated its software. Is there anything else I should do or scans to run and reports to send? Thank you so so so so much!
  3. The Brother software was causing problems before I wiped the computer, but it has been working ok since the reinstall. I downloaded the MBPrivacy and it works! I changed the VPN server location several times and went to different addresses and no error message popped up. Thank you so much! Should I now download the main Malwarebytes program?
  4. Hi. I'm so sorry for the delay getting this done. I've completed the steps you gave and posted the new files below. Addition.txt FRST.txt
  5. Not yet, but I will. I have to look up how to do the steps and work got very busy. I will do it and let you know when I have.
  6. I checked for updates and performed a Quick Scan which found no threats.
  7. Yes, it is. I haven't changed the DNS settings back from the Google ones. Should I do that or leave it as the Google ones? I will do the above and post when completed.
  8. Hello, I've run FRST scan and added the files below. Thank you. FRST.txt Addition.txt
  9. Hello, Sorry for the delay. I've run the FRST fix, it prompted to restart the computer which it did. I've attached the fixlog.txt below. Thank you so much. Fixlog.txt
  10. Hello, I've run the FRST scan and attached the files. FRST.txt Addition.txt
  11. Hello, I've done the above. Fixlog.txt
  12. One more interesting thing: after I did the steps last week with the fixlist.txt, when the computer restarted Minecraft had be wiped out. No idea why but thought I'd mention it.
  13. No worries on the response delay. I figured you just had your days off. I hope you are feeling better now. Just in case, I downloaded the FRST64 and ran that. I've attached the two files. Thank you :) Addition.txt FRST.txt
  14. I had a feeling I hadn't turned off all the Microsoft anti-virus software (I hadn't), so I went through the steps again and downloaded the fixlist.txt file again (into the same folder as the FRST). When the computer restarted, I actually saw some messages during bootup that appeared like it was fixing something. You have mentioned above that it would wipe out all the saved passwords, but it hadn't, because when I opened this bookmark, my login details were provided so I could log in. I've attached the only fixlog file that is in the folder where the FRST was. From the timestamp, it appears to be from the fixlist I just ran. I really hope this was done correctly. I still don't see Malwarebytes (virus, not the Privacy) in the tray of running programs, but the browser says it is running. Fixlog.txt
  15. I just saw the fixlog in the folder where I had the fixlist file and the FRST file. I've attached it below. Fixlog.txt
  16. Argh, I researched how to change the DNS but then forgot to change it and restart before I ran the fixlist.txt file (never do computer work while dealing with fighting children beside you). After the fixlist finished I changed the DNS to Google Public DNS, restarted and tried to run the fixlist again. I got the message in the screenshot. There was no new file on the desktop to attach. I'm sorry I failed to follow your instructions after you were so kind to write the fix for me. I haven't reinstalled Malwarebytes, but it says it's still running in the browser although I can't see the program running on the computer. Please let me know what next steps to take. Should I try to reinstall Malwarebytes?
  17. Thank you very much. I am working on doing this and will post again when I've completed it.
  18. mbst-grab-results.zipHi I have done the 'clean in the MBST tool, did not let it install, and gathered the logs which I've posted here. Thank you.
  19. I've never used a VPN before. Thank you so very much for helping with this. I greatly appreciate your time and expertise.
  20. My connection is continuously on through the router. My computer connects wirelessly to it.
  21. I have tried numerous servers in different countries but I get the same message, unfortunately.
  22. Just realized I added the wrong file. mbst-grab-results.zip
  23. Hello, I just reset my computer today and downloaded Malwarebytes and Malwarebytes Privacy for the first time. Malwarebytes appears to be running fine. When I tried to run Privacy and click 'connect', I get an error message (see attached picture). I have also attached the log from the Malwarebytes Support Tool. Any help getting it running would be appreciated. Thank you very much. mbst-clean-results.txt
