In my quest to try and solve this myself, I've found these two forum topics.

I have a similar issue right now. I recent was a little dumb and installed something that made me install MaskVPN, not knowing this was a virus. Now, I tried to install something from the Microsoft Store today - nothing. Didn't work. So I figured: must be because I have to update my OS! But then I got stuck looking for an update and got the 0x80080005 error.
I have already removed/quarantined 5 spyware/malware with malwarebytes and also some adware with adwcleaner, but I still cannot update my OS nor can I install my thing from the store.
Upon checking, MaskVPN had (like in one of the topics mentioned above) created multiple exceptions for itself in Windows Defender, ones I can't get rid of, and it's also still running in the background in my task manager, though I was able to end those tasks.
I have run the FRST scan, see the attached files. I'm a little clueless where to go from here, so I would appreciate some help.
Thank you in advance!
