  1. Hello and thanks for the reply. It was meant as more of a general question. I really just would like to know if MBAM is able to detect malware attached to directories as ADS.

FRST recently detected the following ADS attached to AppData: AlternateDataStreams: C:\Users\Owner\Application Data:d4f5d244a0909d75573750c06e9db24d [394] AlternateDataStreams: C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming:d4f5d244a0909d75573750c06e9db24d [394] I regularly scan my computer with MBAM, but didn't get any alerts. Have I been safe all the time or does MBAM only detect ADS attached to files, not directories?
  3. Click on "Settings", then "Remove". Then just restart the AdwCleaner executable.
  4. On my PC AdwCleaner is still identifying the two registry keys as parts of PUP.Optional.VLCPlusPlayer.DEPUP.VLC: AdwCleaner[S00].txt
