  1. I removed all policies, so where are they coming from? Windows Defender Firewall is set to Automatic, but all options are greyed out, so I couldn't change them if I wanted to. Also, why is defender still randomly stopping? It never did that before installing Malwarebytes and is still doing it after removing it? Also, like I wrote before that I could not merge that registry file you asked me to, as I am being BLOCKED. Why am I being blocked after I remove all policies, and I am trying to edit as administrator? I am on my own network with no policies. I admin each computer individually.
  2. Also, on my other Win10 Enterprise computer none of the register merges worked and Defender Firewall stopped working entirely, and I cannot access the WEB. I cannot start it or change settings as it's allowing everything from the Public Sharing Options, but Private and settings are set normally. IPv4 & 6 are not connected and DHCP is turned off, but it is connected to my router. "Network & Internet setting" crashes every time I try to open it. After removing Malwarebytes with "mb-support-1.8.3.885."
  3. I am the Administrator, I always login as Administrator and run EVERYTHING in Elevated Administrator Mode. This setup does not use Windows Controlled File Access or some sort of other monitoring app or policy settings. Unless they were already there in the version of Win10 Enterprise I installed or were changed by software without me knowing. I removed all Security, Local & Domain Group Policies. The "Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)" register change did not merge. Defender Firewall is still stopping randomly. Microsoft Store & Windows Update are both working fine. This did detect corruption: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
  4. 1st time I tried to merge I got this error not allowing access to the registry, but then it worked a few seconds later when I tried it a 2nd time. It's not merging on one of my other computers. Still keeps on not allowing access to the registry. Thx
  5. 1st time I tried to merge I got this error not allowing access to the registry, but then it worked a few seconds later when I tried it a 2nd time. It's not merging on one of my other computers. Still keeps on not allowing access to the registry. Thx
  6. I also scan with AVG Rescue Disk, Kaspersky Rescue Disk, Dr. Web, KNOPPIX Live Disk...
  7. Cheers I have been fixing problems on computers since the early 80s, on DOS before Win3.xx and have been using Malwarebytes on/since XP! I have all the software you ask me to download. Yes, the Windows service named wdnissvc fixed the problem of the Defender antimalware platform update. There is nothing wrong with Windows Update. So, it is tied to Malwarebytes ending its trial and is removing wdnissvc and/or a virus attacking/targeting computers running Malwarebytes. But, my computer appears to be clean with every scanner I've used. I monthly scan with Sophos and eScan MWAV Microworld Technologies and daily scan with Malwarebytes and Defender. So, I should not register Malwarebytes in the Windows Security Center and see what happens? Here is the FSS.txt... FSS.txt
  8. I am CompTIA Network+ and A+ Certified, and I took Computer Science (programming) during University (BSc) and have been programming since the Commodore Vic20. So, I know what I am talking about and what is causing this problem! As I am a Trained Troubleshooter and Problem Solver. AS I just in stalled Malwarebytes on my mom's computer 2 weeks ago to do a Rootkit scan, and it was updating fine until then. Now it is having the same problem after the Free Premium Trial ENDS! Defender Antimalware Platform will not update, now on that computer also! So. now that is 4 Win10 Enterprise computers having the same problem with Defender Antimalware Platform not updating AFTER the Free Premium Trial ENDS!!!
  9. There is ONLY a problem with the Antimalware Platform update and NOT the Definitions. It only happens after installing Malwarebytes and after the free Premium Trial ENDS and switches back to Defender as the Active/Primary antivirus/antimalware scanner. But, sometimes after trying to install the platform update one of the definition updates says it is not installed which was installed and gets installed. But, all the other multiple definition updates got/get installed no problem, including both .Net and Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64 -based Systems updates. Also, the fire wall has stopped working twice since uninstalling Malwarebytes this morning, but restarts on its own.
  10. Well it's ONLY happened after installing Malwarebytes and then the Trial ENDS and then Defender won't update properly. Once Malwarebytes is no longer the default antivirus. The Defender updates properly until the MalwareBytes Trial Ends, even after uninstalling. It's happened on 3 different Win10 Pro computers, even after a fresh installation of Win10 Pro. I don't recall it happening with Win10 Home. On the windows sites it says App Locker is blocking it because the installation location changed, and I have to create a rule in Group Policies. So, Malwarebytes is turning on App Locker when it ends the Trial or something. MTB.txt
  11. I installed the Windows Update Minitool Because of this Malwarebytes problem of it blocking Microsoft Defender Antivirus antimalware platform and periodically blocking Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus update. in searching a way to install these updates i came across the tool. As, I could select which updates to install so, I could install all the updates except Microsoft Defender Antivirus antimalware platform and have to worry about Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus updates not being installed. Will run MiniToolBox and post results later. Thx
  12. I ran the CLEAN function of the Malwarebytes Support Tool, and it completed pretty fast and did not reboot. I waited a 1/2 hour after it was done and created the TXT file so, I rebooted myself. Then tried to run CLEAN again, and it came up with a message that there is NO Malwarebytes software on my computer. So, I tried to install the Defender antimalare platform again and the Security Intelligence Update and only the Security Intelligence Update supposedly got installed. So, therefore the same problem is persisting. I have tried uninstalling before trying this forum, and it did not fix the problem either, I did not use the TOOL that time. mbst-clean-results.txt
