  1. I just read about this on my Google+ page and think that this is a fantastic idea!!  Really well done and look forward to getting one someday!!

    :)

Hello. Sorry for the extreme long delay in a response. I noticed your TNCodeAcademy link and checked it out. Based on what I've seen so far, it's cool. Glad to see people taking an interest in learning to code!

Sorry for my totally off topic reply. Thanks!

  2. I too would be interested in a legal copy of Windows 7; if it's 32bit. I don't have any 64bit hardware..

I've been playing with Windows 7 on a friends PC for a little while; I might if i'm lucky have 12 hours in it so far, and I like what I see.

Someone told me it would run better on the same hardware than XP; and I'd like to give it a try.

    thanks for your consideration.

  3. I haven't used Norton in a long time, but the previous versions (2008) I think? was the last one I actually installed or saw in action was a resource hog. And on slower machines, very noticeable. I've been told that v2010 is much lighter on system resources, has a decent scanner engine and actually works as intended... But, I'm not keen on spending money for "yearly" definitions updates. I've been around long enough to remember those were still free for the taking, you didn't have a subscription service.

I don't mind spending money if it's a valid expense, but to me; that wasn't. I already paid x amount of dollars for the software.

    Just my 2 cents

  4. Registry Data Items Infected:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Start_ShowSearch (Hijack.StartMenu) -> Bad: (0) Good: (1) -> No action taken.

This isn't false, and if you don't want to be bothered about it again, since you made the changes on purpose... Just tell mbam to ignore it.

The other one is probably just some left overs, nothing to worry about.

  5. Are you telling us, Raid, in a sort of roundabout way, that this van consists of more rust than metal and bits that are in the process of falling off? :)

You don't have to buy a van to buy a stereo, you know! :)

Oh, no by no means.. The van is in fairly good condition; Well maintained. Just that the factory stereo system is dead. :)

I have previously owned something worse than the condition that you describe tho. What oil it didn't leak, it added to the fuel, like a 2 cycle :)

I did put a very nice stereo system in a vehicle that wasn't worth the tires it had on it, several times. What can I say, I like my music. :)

This no music issue with the van will have to be fixed, asap tho. I am fairly confident that I know all the noises of the van now. It's the 2nd fullsize vehicle I've ever driven. a 91 ford econoline 150 commercial class (no passenger seats, passenger anything.. basic, work van).

  6. I kinda like loud-ish music, but it can't be too loud, and if its in the car, it definitely can't be too loud. I am very careful with how loud music is and loud noises, I like having my hearing intact, hehe :)

Can't have loud music in the van as yet, I need to know of any noises that are not normal. :)

  7. @ Raid

Sweet! Music is awesome, and it can be listened to while doing a variety of different things. :)

Gak, it's such a pain when the radio/stereo in motor vehicles die/don't work correctly. I almost always have the stereo on when I am driving.

Yeps.. I went to finish the last payment on the van, and then my friend who I was purchasing it from reminds me (hehe) that the radio is completely dead. And sure enough, it is. I was singing to myself last night on a drive to walmart. LOL.

Once i'm familiar with all the normal sounds of the vehicle, then I'll get a little daring and bring my mp3 player with me. LOl!

  8. Yahoo Domains -c/o- Yahoo.com has been notified of your banning practices.

We have been in touch with them for months to disable/remove various malicious domains they seem okay with hosting. We appreciate end users doing this as well; the more complaints they recieve, they might actually do something about it, so innocent sites like yours aren't caught up in the mix.

  9. I'm just on the forum here and listening to some music on my iTunes :) Nice and relaxing. I haven't listened to music much in a long, long time. I miss it.

Mostly I listen to the radio on the way to work and home and when I go other places now, and that is it for my music listening lately, and CD's in the car sometimes too. Although I enjoy listening to music on the radio, I miss listening to quote my music, hehe.

Malware research in my lab. :) Jamming to tunes on my mp3 player, as my roomie is asleep in the other room of the lab, and I don't want to disturb him....

I'd jam to tunes in the van I just bought, but the stereo is completely dead; so that's going to be replaced.

  10. Hi There. I just scanned the included INSTALL.EXE using definitions #2955 and we do not detect this.

Please update your definitions and scan again. If you have this file stored in the root of drive C:, please move it to another location (as no executables should be stored in root) and try again.

    Please post back your results.

  11. The actual number of viruses (actual viruses that is, not other types of malware) is very low; Malwarebytes is not designed to do the same tasks antivirus programs already perform. We pickup where they left off, concerning the other side of malware. Keygens, rootkits, etc...

In short, yes we do detect some viruses, but not very many. Please keep your antivirus current.

  12. Glad to officially hear that it is a false alarm, but one small question. I still have the original 17 alleged trojans in quarantine.....and when I ran MBAM midday, had 19 but didn't quarantine them. Noticed then that the System 32 file was rebuilt.....so should those quarantines be returned or deleted. My educated guess is ignore them. But would like to hear from you what to do.

First time on this Forum, and must say that your program is super!! Only one I am using other than SpywareBlaster......and Avast of course. Oh, and I put Zone Alarm on last night when I thought I was infested with trojans!! :D

Figgs....and a big HI DE HO to Raid. :D

    Thanks? I guess. :D
