  1. Hey Kevin, MalwareBytes turning Windows Defender off isn't too big of an issue. And yeah computer seems to be running fine. Aside from the FRST program unnecessarily removing something that I'm too embarrassed to say in a public forum like this, the main issue seems to be resolved. Thanks so much for your help Kevin.
  2. Hi Kevin, So to my understanding, the MSERT found some sort of malware in my Windows Defender? I don't know what that's about; all I know is that MaskVPN is gone from my Firewall list and hopefully gone for good. Here are the logs for you to make sense of and double check. Fixlog.txt msert.log
  3. Hi Kevin, Your fixlist.txt raised some flags from my Firefox, saying it has malware in it?
  4. Hi Kevin, thanks for the quick reply. Yeah so I don't really understand the FRST logs but the AdwCleaner definitely picked up some stuff. The AdwCleaner didn't tell me to restart my computer though, but it did create two logs. Thanks for helping me out here. MaskVPN Scan.txt AdwCleaner[C00].txt AdwCleaner[S00].txt FRST.txt Addition.txt
  5. So I recently made a mistake of installing a program that also forcefully installed MaskVPN and some other programs like WebCompanion onto my computer. I uninstalled the related programs from my Windows but it was still running in my task manager so I googled a solution and came across this topic: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/265534-maskvpn-mask_svcexe-ctoolbarexe-webcompanionexe-not-flagged-malware/. My issue isn't exactly the same because I don't think anything is running in the background anymore after I installed Malwarebytes and removed all of its related processes, but I still managed to find the MaskVPN folder intact in my Program Files. I promptly deleted it but just today I was looking through my Windows firewall and found 4 MaskVPN apps that were in my allowed list and they couldn't be removed. I unchecked the boxes and then opened up the list again only to find more MaskVPN apps in my list. I'm not sure where to look for help but Malwarebytes isn't detecting any viruses on my PC and I don't think anything is running in the background without my knowledge. How do I completely remove this nuisance from my computer in case it's actually spying on me?
