  1. OK. Happily a full restore of the OS has got the FTP server back in shape. Where next. Only been up and running ten minutes since the restore, but am not being hammered with endless notifications. Will wait till the end of the day to sign this off, just in case. Meanwhile, what caused this? Thanks Jeremy
  2. Right. took a while. First run I had to abort as it was rattling away through the night = c50Tb of hard drives to scan. and one whilst healthy was a bit noisy. Diconnected all bar my OS and Data drives, ran the scan, clean as I expected. I run an extremely secure PC (ex IT bod, hacked my first code in Algol in 1967. and am very security conscious. Anyway. the endless MB notifications have stopped, thanks - I would like to know why they happened though.

  4. Did you not look at the attached screen shot? "NO RESTORE POINTS HAVE BEEN CREATED" No, haven't done a System Restore as I am busy cooking. I'll do it when I have time. FTP server has been working without a glitch for close to a year. Now unable to access it from other PCs, local or remote. So the MB fix did that. Thanks.
  5. FIX run. Debug files attached Thanks and here are the three diagnostic files the scan produced.
  6. System Restore ON. NO System restore point was created. Good job I do a proper backup. See attached. Your fixer turned System Restore ON - I have an SSD, so no need for it, all the more so as a nightly backup of OS and Data suffices for me. But clearly then failed to create a restore point, See attached.

  9. Here. Whilst you are here, whatever the fix run did it has buggered up my FTP server, which cost me £250 to get installed. It's not worked since the post fix run reboot. Not amused. Can't connect to it any more and no idea what your software changed. I may have to do a full restore. So it would be good if yuo could fix this mess. Fixlog.txt

  12. Never seen them before. Was away for a few days; when I got back on Wednesday and rebooted my PC, I am now the recipient of endless OUTBOUND "Websites blocked due to Malware" notifications, of Type "Outbound" File "System" Why has this started happening? And how do I stop it, it's starting to really annoy me Sample screen shot attached
