  1. Just updated Malwarebytes and opening the website again, after a few minutes nothing popped up. Sorry I didn't realize there was an update pending, thank you for informing me.
  2. Hello, A couple of minutes ago a website I frequently visit, Mugen Fighters Guild was blocked twice by Real TIme Protection. I have the two RTP logs attached, I believe this is a false flag because I've been going to that website for several years without really any problems, but I want to be certain. Thank you and have a nice day, William C. first block.txt second block.txt
  3. Understood, sorry for my confusion and thanks for understanding and helping.
  4. Sorry, it's not really the notifications that are bothering me, in fact Malwarebytes hasn't notified me of these blocks in awhile, almost a year back it would constantly have the notification pop up whilst playing these games and I stopped playing them in fear but recently nothing has seemingly popped up, making me believe whatever was happening was dealt with. I only know these blocks happen because of my monthly report which does still give me a notification tells me it detected threats. My worry is that these things that Malwarebytes blocks could possibly put my computer at risk. I understand these things that are being blocked are being blocked because they are malicious IP addresses but I want to know for sure if they could still be dangerous through the games. if they can't then I'll gladly put these games in the allow list but that thought of what if is making me hesitate. I'm most likely overreacting and I apologize for that, I'm just overly worried about these sorts of things and want to be certain.
  5. Hello, first thing, I'm not entirely sure if this is the correct location to ask this so, sorry if it isn't. To begin, I made a post not to long ago about RTP blocking IP addresses on Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead 2, Yesterday I tried out the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 open beta and only now while checking my history I noticed that there was a detection of a 'Compromised' event coming from the .exe file for Call of Duty. I believe it's from the same situation as with L4D2 and TF2, where it's a Peer to Peer service and Malwarebytes is detecting a malicious IP address. But the question I have is, Am I safe to continue playing these games? I am very much uncertain on what this detection actually entails, I don't entirely understand what it means by 'Compromised' and I want to make sure it's safe to play these games despite Malwarebytes warning me about this and that these things are being blocked. Especially from the fact that I was planning on buying MW3 when it comes out fully. If it's practically harmless then I apologize for making this such a big deal. I'll attach the log from the detection. Thank you for reading and helping me understand. - William C. MW3 compromised log.txt
  6. Thank you both for your help. I'm still a little confused on the situation but I believe I'm safe. After all, the games have tens of thousands of people playing them daily, I feel like I would've heard something about this if it was genuinely a problem. Sorry for my confusion and I hope you both have a great rest of your week.
  7. Okay, I understand that, Sorry if this is obvious, but I just want to make sure, the fact this IP address was blocked means the games are safe to continue playing and my computer won't be at risk, correct?
  8. Oh, okay. so just to make sure I understand, my computer isn't in any kind of danger, correct? These are being detected as such because they use peer 2 peer and it's unsure if they're safe?
  9. Hello and good afternoon, I just noticed thanks to my monthly report that Malwarebytes has been detecting and blocking several things from the games, Left 4 Dead 2 and Team Fortress 2. These games are made by Valve and are considered some of their most beloved games and I've played them for most of my life and I've never gotten these before, which is why I believe these are most likely false positives. Looking at my history the first flag was on the 15th of September and the latest was on the 6th of this month. Most are labeled as trojan except for four of them which two are labeled comromised and two other are labeled riskware. This has kinda made me panic when I noticed them. Malwarebytes didn't light up with notifications like usual so I thought everything was fine until now. I have attached logs of each unique block, I just want to make sure I'm safe playing these games, they are some of my favorites. Thank you in advance for helping and for reading. - William C. compromised TF2 log.txt trojan L4D2 log.txt riskware L4D2 log.txt
  10. That's great to hear, Thank you and have a great rest of your day
  11. Hello, I've been a part of the forum site Mugenguild for several years now, checking on it almost every other day to see what people have made for the fighting game engine, MUGEN. However while browsing the website today, specifically this page here - https://mugenguild.com/forum/edits-addons-1-0.367 I got a message from the Browser Guard warning that it blocked malware coming from the site. I'm very confused by this, like I said before I've been using this website for years without an issue, Is it possibly a false positive? Thank you in advance for your help. -William C.
  12. Ah, okay. I guess everything should be okay then, thank you for letting me know. Have a great rest of your day.
  13. Oh okay, thank you so much for your time and sorry for the dumb question. I got really nervous when I saw the location was in svchost and System.
  14. Oh so it's completely fine? Nothing got through? Sorry if this is obvious, I'm very stressed. Thank you for getting back so quickly.
