  1. Hi Maurice, Again I want to thank you for taking time out to help me and trying to fix this issue. I will most likely just reinstall Windows 10 in the future when time is right!
  2. lol It's funny Windows defender auto removed that tool as soon as I downloaded it and reported it as a backdoor. I did try run the tool after excluding from whitelist but it wasnt able to modify the setting. Says a software is preventing it from modifying the registry with powershell.
  3. Hi Maurice, No luck with toggling the register in Windows security center. I think at this point only way to fix the carpeted registry from Webroot is a fresh install. let me know if you have anything else you would like to try. thanks again for all the help.
  4. Yes I can turn it off that way but that only last about a day before it auto re-enable again.
  5. looks like I cannot edit my post, so I did all the steps, eset didnt find any traces of Webroot. I did the fixlist but after reboot Windows defender is still running like usual.

  8. as you suspected, it did not do anything. Thanks for the help tonight, I'm off to bed now hopefully I get some replies when I wake up in the morning!
