  1. Upgraded my Win 10 x64 system to Creator's edition (1703) last night. After rebooting, Malwarebytes issued the all-to-familiar "Protection Disabled" warning. Rebooted again, same thing. It is the Exploit protection that is not starting. Trying to start it manually does not work. MBAM V3.1.2.1733 Component 1.0.122 Update package: 1.0.1925 mb-check and frst output attached. 2. Aloha, I am evaluating Acronis True Image Home 2012 for both backup and file synchronization purposes. While doing some research on the file synchronization feature, I found an article in their knowlege base that states that Malwarebytes blocks the file synchronization process, and that this is a "known compatibility issue". The suggested solution is to "disable Malwarebytes". The article was updated on August 23, 2011. Is this information correct? Is there truly no way to make Acronis File Synchronization and MWB play nicely together? (I have MWB Pro 1.51.2 installed) Mahalo, Harry Z.
  3. Mahalo! (Thank You!) Can you please add this to the FAQ so other folks don't trip over it like I did.
  4. Aloha, I'm trying to set the exclusions for Malwarebytes Pro in Norton Internet Security 18.6.0.29 (I think this is NIS 2011). I've followed the procedure listed in this post. But when I get to the part where I need to exclude C:\Windows\system32\drivers\mbam.sys and mbamswissarmy.sys, I don't see them listed in the drivers directory in Norton. They are there when I look at drivers in Windows Explorer. I've set the system to show hidden files, and system files. I even tried typing in the full path and file name with no luck. What's really strange is that Norton only shows about 6 files in the drivers directory. I realize this is most likely a NIS problem, but I thought I'd check here and see if anyone else has seen this and come up with a way to fix it. This is a Windows 7 64-bit system. Mahalo! (Thank You!) Harry Z.
  5. Great info! Since NIS is different than Norton 360, can one of the admins please add this configuration info to the FAQ. Mahalo! (Thank You) Harry Z.
  6. Aloha, This computer belongs to an individual, not a business. Please assist. Mahalo. Harry Z.
  7. Aloha, I have a customer's machine that seemed to be infected. I installed / updated / ran a full scan with Malwarebytes, and it found and deleted the following file amongst other infections. C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Temp\C227.tmp (Rootkit.Dropper) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully. This is the first time I've run across a rootkit. Since MWB was able to quarantine and delete the file, am I done? Or do I need to run more scans with different tools to make sure that this rootkit has been removed? I've updated and run a Quick Scan with MWB and it comes back clean. Full log file is being uploaded. mbam_log_2010_11_18__21_05_27_.txt Thanks in advance, for your assistance! Harry Z.
