  1. Here's a pic of my startup settings. Not sure if it's any help but just in case. Also, in my startups theres still some programs I've uninstalled like Microsoft Teams and Curse. Will that cause problems?
  2. And done. Here are the fix logs. I have few questions if you dont mind me asking: 1) The Disk check only happened to C:, F: wasn't checked from what I saw. Is that normal? 2) I have a program in my startup called "update". It says nothing else nor can I look it up online. Should I be worried? 3) Now that I've done the fix, can I reinstall Avira? Fixlog.txt
  3. Sorry I took so long to answer, it was late over here so I went to bed. Here are the FRST and Addition logs before doing the fix. At this point I already removed Avira. As for the fix, I'ma do that right now and send you the logs. FRST.txt Addition.txt
  4. Going 1 by 1: Item 1: Yes, its for Xbox 360 controller. There's no update for drivers so its normal that its 2009 from what I can tell. Item 2: I'll uninstall it right now since I don't use it. Item 3: Yes, I do have the printer. However, I uninstalled most of its programs since it doesnt work anymore. The only thing that work its the scanner, which is the only program I have installed for that sole reason. Item 4: Before I do, why uninstall them? Avira is my main antivirus. Remote desktop yeah, I could uninstall. Item 5: Yes that is my motherboard. I'll update the bios tonight before going to bed. Thank you guys for your help! Removing R@1N did make my computer slightly faster so it was worth it imo.
  5. IT WORKED...Partially? Went into safe mode and I was able to change some of the settings (like Read only setting) and was able to change ownership from most of the items. However, it said some content ownership couldnt be changed due to being unable to enumerate them, then said "access denied". Still, its better than it was before. I can now use my downloads folder again, create folders, rename, etc. Thanks for your help, both of you. If I run into anymore trouble in the next 24 hours, I'll post again.
  6. Tried, same thing happened... Here's something that seems weird to me. Why is the top and bottom owners the same (which are the desktop users) yet have different access privileges? Does that have to do with anything?
  7. Sadly, no change could be done, even with the administrator account set up. Here's a few screenshots that might help. Weirdly enough, most owners have full access to F: , yet I still can't do anything to it. I also tried deleting the last user who had limited access but I was denied. This is so weird...
  8. It should be an administrator account but for some reason that problem started happening after removing R@1N. Maybe changing the authenticator caused the problem? Anyway I'm gonna try your solution now and, hopefully, everything will be back to normal. I'll write back as soon as I'm done. Thanks a lot for replying constantly, it's very appreciated.
  9. Same as before. As stated above, I have two harddrives. My HDD (F:) and SDD (C:). I have no problems with my SDD, I can make any changes to it as normal. However, whatever change I try to do in my (F:), whether its saving something to download folder, renaming a file, creating a folder, etc. it asks for administrator permission. Basically, after deleting R@1N, it shows as if I'm no longer the owner of any of the folders in (F:). I tried forced changing the ownership but it requires me to remove "read only" from properties for it to be successful...but I can't do that cause I need administrator permission. It's a cycle.
  10. Done and done! Here's the fix log. As for how things are, sadly, still the same... Fixlog.txt
  11. NewReport.txt Sorry about the @'ing. All done. It was already up to date and also did the changes. After scanning there were no new results. Still including the report just in case.
  12. Malware report.txt @Maurice Naggar Its fine, I'm in no rush. I was posting that info just in case it was important. Anywho, scan and reports have been posted! The report I'm posting is that one that showed the KMS R@1N that was found. Hopefully it'll help. Addition.txt FRST.txt
  13. Update: I have two hard drives. Local Disk (C:) and Disk (F:). C is my SSD and F is my HDD. I can rewrite and save things to my SSD now, the problem only persists in (F:). Not sure if that's important but thought I should mention it.
  14. @Maurice Naggar Thanks for replying to the thread. So I did the fix and I attached the log. However, my problem still persists. If I try to download a file and put it in my downloads folder, it still says "you don't have permission to save in this location. Contact the administrator". Same thing if I try to change any of my old files in my folders, it won't give me permission to do so. Fixlog.txt
