  1. Thanks, I now understand how to deactivate the software. Sorry, I did not realize that the highlighted words in the message above were a link to the deactivation process article.
  2. Sorry for the additional question. This should be the last one. I know how to uninstall MalwareBytes, but I'm not sure how to deactivate it (so I can just use the standalone scanning function). Thanks again for your help with this.
  3. Thanks, I appreciate your time and expertise. If I install MalwareBytes with Norton already present, will I then have just the MWB scan-on-demand product or the full featured trial premium version?
  4. I have downloaded the "free" version of Malwarebytes. When installed, it appears to change to a 14 day Premium trial, which requires a machine reset, probably due to the low level Windows hooks (e.g., the registry) that I am trying to avoid. Can you please tell me exactly how I can deactivate the trial before it springs to life? Thanks.
  5. Is there a way to obtain a scan-on-demand-only version of Malwarebytes? I know the original program was like this. It could co-exist with real-time anti-virus/malware software without problem. Over time, Malwarebytes has evolved into a full security software product. We already have full featured security protection from other products (such as Norton). MWB was very useful as a standalone malware scanning tool. Is it possible to obtain a manual scan-only MWB now? Thanks very much for your assistance with this question.
