  1. I'm sincerely happy to hear that it was just a bug. Sorry if I came off as overly aggressive, but I hope you can understand why I felt a bit betrayed upon noticing this. I wouldn't mind having this thread removed, or alternatively renamed. I do feel that it's an important bug for people to know about.
  2. Hey, guys! I just felt I had to give feedback on something I noticed. Obviously, if you don't have Malwarebytes Premium, it lacks many features which the paid program has. I have no problem with this, fundamentally – I always used Malwarebytes for the scan functionality anyways, so when new features such as on-access scans and website blocking were added, I just figured it was a good, meaningful way for the company to generate revenue, which had nothing to do with me. Recently, however, I noticed that Windows Defender was complaining. When I went to check what was wrong, it said it was disabled because I had another security program. Obviously, free Malwarebytes doesn't actually have the same functionality as Windows Defender, so it doesn't make sense for Defender to disable itself with Malwarebytes on my machine. Fortunately, after a quick Google search, I found that this was an easy fix – all I had to do was go into Malwarebytes' settings, and make it so that it didn't register with Windows Defender as my security program! If any Malwarebytes developers are reading this, I'm sure you know where this is going. That option, staggeringly, is a Premium feature. Meaning, if you have free Malwarebytes on your computer, Malwarebytes doesn't just not provide the full functionality of a security program – it also explicitly prevents your default security program from providing that functionality. Malwarebytes literally makes your computer less secure until you pay up. My point is this: Please, for the love of God, make this a free feature. It's ridiculous that I should even have to ask this. I should not have to pay you to use Windows Defender just because your program is on my computer. In the meantime, I have, of course, uninstalled. Hopefully nothing has gone wrong in the meantime.
